I'm not an expert at laying concrete. Up until now it hasn't really affected my life.

However, in this project it means I'm making extra work for myself. Only one of the sides of the concrete was actually flat; the other one had developed a nice, subtle wave. So the 2x6 I was placing on that side wouldn't lay flat without some... coaxing.

Coaxing involving a table saw, chisel, and sander.
