My new external harddrive.

I mean seriously, we've gotten into tera-territory!?

I could fit 1000 copies of SimCity4 onto that.

If anyone finds a sexy desktop icon for this new addition please let me know - I cant live with the standard one for too long!

Side by side, My Book Essential and the My Book Studio II.

You served me well old friend...

Well I discovered the root of all my computer problems of late was caused by a faulty hard drive. I don't blame it though, I do put my comp through a lot of stress between gaming and media editing. I've upgraded from a 320GB to 1TB capacity. Hopefully I can get back on track with my daily posts.

Backing up is now fun and easy with Time Machine. Deleted that important file and the project's due tomorrow? Apple, Inc. has you covered.

My Book Essential is a USB 2.0 external hard drive. It works with Windows and OSX. I have not tried it with my Linux server yet.

Jump drives are one of the speculative inventions in science fiction, a method of traveling faster than light (FTL). Related concepts are hyperdrive, warp drive and interstellar teleporter. The key characteristic of a jump drive (as the term is usually used) is that it allows a starship to be instantaneously teleported between two points. A jump drive is supposed to make a spaceship (or any matter) go from one point in space to another point, which may be several light years away, in a single instant. Like time travel, a jump drive is often taken for granted in science fiction, but very few science fiction works talk about the mechanics behind a jump drive. There are vague indications of the involvement of tachyons and the space-time continuum in some works.

Everything you need to connect the My Book Essential to your computer: power adapter, USB cable and of course the My Book Essential.
