A girl in a crowd outside a village in south-central Ethiopia. I love the expression. One of my all-time faves.

The expression on this young man's face says it all as he plays in a soccer net while his big brother's game is underway. Thanks to my nephew, Samuel, for this photo opportunity.

"My butterfly friend
through the fluttering of whispers
I love to hear but one,
The calming butterfly
whispering in my ear
that is what I love to hear,
my butterfly friend
rises with my soul
he flutters through me,
Adding color
to the winter in me
he makes me feel i can fly,
slowly
I become free
everything is colorful through his eyes."

I love being a girl and right now in this little dress I am feeling so liberated and, if I'm honest, just that little bit sexy. It is a girls prerogative to show off some leg from time to time isn't it, so why should I be any different.
