my handbook about portrait photography teaches, that the eyes are the main part, the mouth is definitely the other important zone, the cheeks are a boring area and the nose is problematic - after these criteria...
No better day than one where you get to watch a Saw Whet owl. Been down with the crud and finally feeling a little better when the husband calls and says "Quick get your camera and get up here. I just found a Saw Whet." Well there is no choice other than to go! Got to where he had spotted it and it was gone. However, a little more searching uncovered this beautiful little owl not far away. Watched it for 45 min. At one point there was even a mouse that came out but quickly darted back underground. I absolutely love the last expression. It looks pretty disgusted at us. I sure love these little guys.
...lighten up and brighten up our lives, don't they?
Thanks Akshay for posing for me, Shash and Paro in the Lodhi garden shoot, especially for lying down on the dry leaves for a considerably long time and giving us time to shoot.
Memories finding many forms in Brompton Cemetery, a Grade-1 listed site amongst London's Royal Parks collection.
Hit the L key for a better view. Thanks for the favs and comments. Much appreciated!

Okay so other than the amazingness I've had a pretty nice week this week. Hehe. Other than coming back to school since Spring Break is over.
I got a haircut today. Right after school since we came out early today. Yeepee! :D It looks really nice. I added some volume to my hair which it needed. :] I hope everyone has a nice day. Thanks again. ^.^

Street candid taken in Glasgow, Scotland. The texture of the plaster on this guys overalls really caught my attention, especially as it almost matched the texture of the doorway. He is covered in so much plaster I am not sure how he can even move! After capturing the shot I also noticed that he is standing on a sign saying 'Bar' which works so perfectly with the 'plastered' title that I already had in mind.
Lots of texture detail in this - press 'L' for full screen view.
"My butterfly friend
through the fluttering of whispers
I love to hear but one,
The calming butterfly
whispering in my ear
that is what I love to hear,
my butterfly friend
rises with my soul
he flutters through me,
Adding color
to the winter in me
he makes me feel i can fly,
slowly
I become free
everything is colorful through his eyes."

I love being a girl and right now in this little dress I am feeling so liberated and, if I'm honest, just that little bit sexy. It is a girls prerogative to show off some leg from time to time isn't it, so why should I be any different.
