The idea that models do not have to be beautiful to make a photograph worth while of being taken. Also the idea that the model is hiding behind an expression, leading astray her true feelings.

Don't know what was so disgusting, but she had a problem climbing up the rock XD Love the expression!

I love this photo. I just wish I could remember what was happening when I took this photo.

For some reason people always like to talk about, or refer to another's expression of excitement, joy, or even their laughter. The group of peoples expressions said to me that they're just having a great time riding OKC Rapids in the #Boathousedistrict.

Self-expression can bring color into the lives of those being expressed to as well .

After a somewhat lengthy period of Brent taking photos of me I realized that I am a terrible model. This is the only expression I can make where I look normal! That's okay.

The use of counter-terrorism laws to stop and question photographers is now a regular occurrence in the UK. Beyond the actual laws it has become commonplace for all manner of people in the ‘security’ business, both official and semi official, to hold the view that photographers are to be suspected. This has resulted in a situation where the existing laws, or the interpretation of these laws, is resulting in ill informed, irrational and often obstructive interventions by the police, community support officers and security guards.

Currently the UK government is proposing amendments to the Counter Terrorism Act. On Monday 16th February 2009, Section 76 of the Counter-Terrorism Act 2008 will be enforced and will allow for the arrest and imprisonment of anyone whose pictures (of members of the armed forces and police) are “likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism”.

The British Journal of Photography (BJP) stated: “The law is expected to increase the anti-terrorism powers used today by police officers to stop photographers, including press photographers, from taking pictures in public places” (BJP 28 January 2009).

On the day of the proposed enforcement the National Union of Journalists (NUJ) and the BJP have called for a ‘photographic event’ to highlight the threat that this new law proposes.

Photojournalist and NUJ member Marc Vallée said: “The plan is simple,

turn up with your camera and exercise your democratic right to take a

photograph in a public place.”

The event will take place on 16 February 2009, 11:00-12:00.

Edit: bored with the rather mundane original, I've replaced this with a heavily Photoshopped version.

With the world becoming more tech savy and less art savy, the artist is becoming more and more degraded. The tears symbolize the loss of creativity in the world today. My model is Sarah! Thanks for all the help qurl! c:

There will be more images of this event HERE.
