Snowball Express XI was a great success as we welcomed nearly 1800 children and families of our fallen military heroes to Dallas for a week full of activities!
Beginning with the arrival of our generously donated charter flights by presenting sponsor American Airlines with all volunteer flight crews from all over the country, the families were taken by Greyhound motor coach and Patriot Guard escort to our host hotel, the Hilton Anatole Dallas. The hotel was filled with activities in the Teen and children lounges, and in the Gallo family lounge for the adults.
Day one began with our police and patriot guard escort to Fort Worth, completely shutting down highway 30 with a 48 school bus precession. Firefighters from Arlington lined the overpasses to wave and salute our families!
After arriving in Fort Worth, the annual Walk of Gratitude was held at the famous Fort Worth Stock Yards. The families were then treated to the Pawnee Bill Wild West Show at the Cowtown Coliseum. From there our families were taken to the Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base for a private concert by Gary Sinise & the Lt. Dan Band in a Hangar on base. Gary put on a great show as always for the families and then handed out teddy bears for all the children. Food was provided by Texas Land and Cattle, and prepared with the help of Chef Robert Irvine.
Day 2 included a fun day at four separate game centers around DFW. That evening everyone enjoyed a great dinner and entertainment at Medieval Times Show & Dinner.
The third day included our annual Talent Showcase presented by the Texas Music Project, followed by another amazing closing show by our Chief Fun Officer, David Hira.

150 years war of independence celebration comes to close on 10th May 2008.People of India have been requested to observe silence for 57 seconds at 18.57 on that day.
A Lifeline Express doctor examines a patient in Shivpuri, in the Madhya Pradesh region of India, March 2007. The Lifeline Express train visits rural and remote areas of India delivering surgical care to the poor. The train can deliver up to 800 life changing surgeries each month and has operated on 400,000 Indians since it's launch in 1993. The surgeons in the train's operating theatre can treat disablement caused by polio, cleft palates, blindness and hearing disabilities. More than 70,000 medical personnel from India's leading hospitals have donated their time.
It is estimated that more than 10 percent of the developing world's population suffers from some form of disability; more than 600 million people live with some form of disablement. UNICEF has estimated that 150 million children are disabled or killed by preventable diseases.
Impact India, which runs the Lifeline Express, is one of 17 Impact foundations around the world.

Bleary eyed from the 20:30 redeye from Sydney to Tokyo, I stumbled into Starbucks and through my newly arrived in Japan for the first time ever baka-gaijin ways managed to unintentionally order an iced coffee. It was delicious. I ordered two. It gave me just the perk-up I needed to make my way to the station and summon the motivation to take this rather ordinary photo of the Narita Express.

The white minibus passing by the other side of the road is 'Technopark Express'.
It is operated by the 'Park Centre', on a circular trip between the two gates of Technopark and all buildings.
It also connects to the public transport connection points to the city at Kazhakuttom Jn and Karyavattom.
It is free to commute inside the Park and ticketed if goes out of the Campus.
In the morning and evenings, it goes to the Kazhakuttom Railway Station (a Trivandrum suburb station, 15 km from the Central station and 9 km from Kochuveli Satellite Terminal)
We all took a ride on the Polar Express, an 80 year old train that runs in Williams, AZ right on the entrance to the Grand Canyon!
