Long exposure of the King's creek, leading to the King's fall, which unfortunately I was not able to see because the lookout got damaged in the fire last year and it has not been repaired yet. Got there a bit late, so the sun was not shining on the creek anymore.
Shot with the OM1 handheld, using the electronic ND filter. The image stabilization is amazing, the background is super crisp, the foreground is a bit fuzzy because it was too close to me. I am super happy not having to carry a tripod.

I put my tripod into the water and as always, hoped the best for my camera to stay dry.

This is the only usable photo from the first film with my new Graflex Century Grafic. There was some kind of error with the film back, which led to the fact that pictures partly overlapped or were not exposed at all. It's a shame - but this photo turned out cool anyway. Let's see if I can still get the camera under control.

My last photo from the Berlin government district (which you can find in the first comment) was taken from the KronprinzenbrĆ¼cke (Crown Prince Bridge); in that image, you could only see one of the rusty fenders of that bridge; since I'd also uploaded two other images before where you can only see a small part of the Crown Prince Bridge (please check the album, if you like), I thought it's about time to upload a photo of the bridge itself. I have two different versions, taken from both sides of the Spree, which differ quite considerably in their "look and feel", although the bridge itself looks pretty much the same, of course, so it was difficult to choose which I'd upload first. This photo is the more harmonious version because there isn't so much going on in the background ā the buildings you can see here are the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (on the left), and the building of the Bundespressekonferenz (Federal Press Conference; on the right) ā, while in the other photo of the Crown Prince Bridge which I'd taken four days before this there are the more well-known governmental buildings plus a "slice" of the berlin cube in the background, and there are also nice drama clouds.
So stay tuned for the "drama version" of the Crown Pince Bridge which is even more of a slider than this one; you will see it on one of the future Slider Sundays :)
This final image is an HDR made from exposure bracketing consisting of three single images which I've combined in HDR Efex, and which I've sliderified in Lightroom with the masking tool, and in Color Efex Pro with various filters.
The Crown Prince Bridge was designed by famous Spanish-Swiss architect Santiago Calatrava. His style is unique and the design of his buildings is so distinctive that I think you will always easily recognize a Calatrava design once you've seen one of his constructions. To me, his constructions often have a distinctive sci-fi touch, and they also remind me of alien or futuristic exoskeletons, but that's probably just me ;) The origins of the Crown Prince Bridge date back to 1709, when a simple wooden bascule bridge, the "ThiergartenbrĆ¼cke", was erected across the Spree. Much later, from 1877 to 1879, a new wrought-iron bridge was built in the current location, and that bridge was named "KronprinzenbrĆ¼cke" in honour of Prussian Crown Prince Friedrich Wilhelm (Frederick III) who later was German Emperor for 99 days until his death in 1888. That bridge was heavily damaged in WWII. Since it connected the Berlin boroughs of Tiergarten (West-Berlin) and Mitte (East-Berlin), it was finally torn down in 1961 after the Berlin Wall had been erected. The new Crown Prince Bridge which was opened in 1996 was the first new bridge construction that (re-)connected the former Western and Eastern sectors after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.

Skitour auf den Tegelberg in den AllgƤuer Alpen. Nachdem beim Zeitpunkt der Fotografie der Himmel grau in grau zeigte, wurde mit Luminar der Himmel ausgetauscht. Im Gegensatz zu frĆ¼her und dem Programm Gimp und der Ebenentechnik ging dies mit Luminar wie im Fluge. Dadurch kommen die SkitourengƤnger kontrastreich zur Geltung.
Ski tour on the Tegelberg in the AllgƤu Alps. After the sky showed grey in grey at the time of photography, the sky was replaced with Luminar. In contrast to earlier and the Gimp programme and the layer technique, this went like a flash with Luminar. This brings out the contrast of the ski tourers.

Water was a daily thing with my childhood. Listening to water, living with water, and having fun with water, has become very inspiring and sentimental to me wherever I go.
Nearly 15 minutes here as the clouds stream past the trees along the horizon. The clouds were moving parallel, making for an interesting effect with the hole in the sky :)
Probably you shall not believe it, but the colors were really there, probably the different purples appear with the different times exposure.

Long exposure of Englishman River Falls. My first shot with my new ND setup. I still have a lot to learn, I don't often carry my tripod when hiking... but it's fun having a new toy!

I've really grown to love this place and everything it has to offer. You could easily plan a 10 mile walk along the valley and up into the hills :)
Always worth stopping at the waterfall for a couple of photos. Quite busy on this occasion, a couple having a picnic and children slipping on the rocks!! Luckily we managed a few photos in between the crowds.

Going back through some of my ancient pics. This was my first exposure to the awesome work of Dale Chihuly. At what was then the new Camino Medical Group facility in Mountain View, California. I had to ask the lady at the information desk about it. I had never heard of Chihuly before.
After my doc appointment, I went out to my car and grabbed my camera and started shooting.
If you spend enough time chasing birds, you will probably have some interesting and funny moments. This certainly would qualify as one of those for me. All I could think of as this guy flew by me was, for God's sake man, zip your fly. Mallard Drake. Kane County, Illinois
