Yesterday we had one of those rare winter days with puffy, cotton ball clouds, rain cells pushing through quickly, and sporadic rainbows.
At one point it hailed so hard it covered the ground. Later on it rained so violently it almost caused a small flash flood.
Luckily this view popped up late in the day.
Winter is beautiful and ever changing.

Big thanks to Ali for wandering with me, and not complaining too much about all the scratches on her legs when I took a wrong turn down a path.
Thank you so much to find my photo today on explore!! 💗 It was really worth to risk a dirty camera and to clean it afterwards :)
Margam Country Park is a country park estate in Wales, of around 850 acres. It is situated in Margam, about 2 miles from Port Talbot in south Wales. It was once owned by the Mansel Talbot family and is now owned and administered by the local council, Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council. Situated within the park are three notable buildings: Margam Abbey, a Cistercian monastery; Margam Castle, a neo-Gothic country house that was once the seat of the Mansel Talbot family; and the 18th-century Orangery.
Week 25/52: Freedom. What's freedom for me? As I love spending time in the woodlands, exploring nature, that is freedom for me. The feeling of being alive and being able to explore the nature is wonderful. Spending hours in the forest, leaving the urban landscape for a while, is peaceful and the best way to clear the mind :)
Pismo Beach sea caves during a minus tide brings photographers and those exploring not so often seen scenery.

Here for you, awaiting you, everynight are dreams, unique to you.
Your own inner kingdom... and as you awake, the world does too.
Dewdrops in the morning glow, ice-crystals covering plants and lands in dusk-light colouring, the sound of the first birds beginning to sing, an atmospheric symphony veiling the scenes as mist rises from the cool grounds, and light warms it gradually.
Existence, what cosmic sorcery, providing unlimited horizons, imagination, freedom of mind, internal discovery, experience of mystery, all you can see, sense and feel, create, witness and perceive .....
Thunderstorms, a stirring force, accompanied and balanced by wind and gentle rain,
Or think to the autumn colours, changing every single day, the uniqueness of waves in the ocean,
and the fine tiny lines on hands, on leaves, the skin of trees, a profound look into the eyes of another sentient being, a soulful smile...
A moment of stillness in midst of a chaotic world, returning to a warm shelter on a cold day, a cup of tea and a warm blanket, a loving embrace, a heartfelt conversation with a kindered spirit, poetry, a stirring artwork of colours so vibrant, so multilayered, all the colours we can see, black and grey shading dimensions into our vision, our abilities to comprehend, to learn from experience and remember, to move, to understand, the way we can compose with words and create stories and tales. The whole universe in our minds.
Sometimes nothing can seem to help or give us a moment of comfort and safety... in these moments, maybe you can find shelter and warmth by retreating into the ‘‘little things'', which are not actually that little, when you look closely. They are where everything else comes and evolves from, so turning to them, tuning deeply into them, connecting with them, can guide us back to the depth we crave, the shelter and the comfort we seek. They can help to bring us back to the root, the core, the essence, where things begin, they can guide us from being scattered or lost outside to finding ''home'' again within.
Discovering the remarkable Bow Fiddle Rock left me in awe of nature's artistic prowess. This captivating natural sea arch stands as a testament to the sculpting power of wind and waves over countless years. Its graceful curve and intriguing form invite you to step into a world of wonder. Standing at this coastal marvel, I couldn't help but marvel at the harmonious dance between land and sea. Nature's masterpiece, etched in stone, reminding us of the beauty and resilience that exists in every corner of our planet.

Found this single tree in the middle of a beautiful lake near seefeld in austria. The light was just coming from the right direction so it stands in the middle of darkness. Somehow this capture reminds of a german quote, which i'm not sure if it exists in english aswell, but it says: "what can one achieve on his own - asks half humanity". Maybe not much. But you need to make changes by yourself in the first place. Then you will find some like-minded people who share the same point of view. And one day the whole world is changing but you won't even realize because it happens so quietly that it becomes the normal state. Don't think to much, shoot images!
Its such a pleasure to be surrounded by the tranquility and beauty of Nature, I certainly don't do it nearly enough

A quiet lakeside scene where autumn’s golden hues embrace the landscape. The summer boat now rests upside down, waiting for another season to begin. The calm water mirrors the stillness of nature preparing for winter.
Fun fact:
Deciduous trees like oak and birch change color because chlorophyll breaks down as temperatures drop, revealing yellow, orange, and red pigments that were always hidden within the leaves.
Eastern Chipmunks in my yard this year. Funny some years you have few, some years they are every where. Maybe because the last few Winter have be on the mild side.

No matter where your journey goes around this terrestrial sphere, the further you are from what you call ''home''
the closer still you are.
Like the snake changing skin it is with traveling - when you seek to find something elsewhere that is just to be found within.
The feeling and sense of meaning and ''home'' is no where out there but deep within, the magic of being eternally yours.
I hope you enjoy this dreamscape..

Strolling in Sobieski park and the Florist’s Gardens
Just a short walk from the Domaine Royal de Laeken (Royal Estate of Laeken), these gardens are the result of Leopold II's wishes. This majestic leafy-green area extended the Stuyvenberg Estate. In 1999, a public park was created there. The different gardens which now make up the park reinterpret the historic nature of the site and give it a refined modernity, whilst meeting the strictest environmental standards. As the highpoint of the visit, the balconies emphasise the sweeping view that stretches from Notre-Dame de Laeken to the Palais de Justice (law courts)
While lounging on the grass, soaking up the sunshine in beautiful Hyde Park, I interrupted Caitlyn's moment of pure bliss to ask for a photo for my project. Caitlyn, as she introduced herself, had recently moved to Sydney from Castle Hill and sought solace in the tranquil greenery of Hyde Park, relishing the feeling of the grass beneath her fingertips. In our conversation, she even shared a funny story about her quirky love for apple juice, but only when she was feeling under the weather.
As I chatted with this whimsical and magical soul, it became evident that she found immense joy in immersing herself in the captivating scenes of animated movies, especially those crafted by the legendary Studio Ghibli. It was as if she could transport herself to a world where imagination had no limits—a place where fantastical creatures and breathtaking landscapes sprung to life, enthralling her senses and rekindling her childlike wonder.
With Frank Ocean's soul-stirring melodies serenading her ears, she effortlessly merged her imagination with the picturesque realm of Studio Ghibli. In this harmonious blend of music and animation, she found solace, a safe haven where dreams seamlessly intertwined with reality, igniting an overwhelming sense of pure bliss.
Encountering Caitlyn was truly a delightful addition to my ongoing project of connecting with 100 strangers. Her unique story and shared love for whimsy and joyous experiences further enriched the tapestry of individuals who have touched my life.

Towering volcanic rock formations rise against a flawless blue sky, standing as silent witnesses to the forces of nature. These rugged structures, shaped by time and erosion, embody the raw beauty and power of Earth's geological history.

In some folk traditions, the cuckoo is considered a symbol of good luck, especially if heard calling from the right or if the person finds a grey hair under their foot upon hearing the cuckoo. However, hearing the call from the left or behind can be seen as unlucky. The cuckoo is also associated with spring, renewal, and the cycle of life in many European culture
She crosses the old wooden bridge, wrapped in the soft morning mist. No rush, no crowd—just a quiet moment to herself.
A young boy eagerly pushes off on a wooden board, smiling as he glides across the shallow water. In the background, three other children watch from the water's edge, with stilt houses visible in the distance. The image captures a playful and carefree moment in a coastal setting.
On Sunday when the storm started we went to a gem show, little that we know it will be the last time we went out for 2 weeks.
The colors on this Labradorite stone looks great but like an Opal it has to be on the right angle to see those great details of blue,
That was our choice for granite top for the kitchen but when you see it in a big slab the colors are not as intense,
