The tuberose (Polianthes tuberosa) is a perennial and night-blooming plant ... hence the Bengali / Hindi name is "Rajnigandha" 'Rajini' means night and 'Gandha', the one that has a sweet fragrance.

4th one on Explore this week .

my first explore was dropped. i don't really understand that explore system. interestingness or not i've seen pictures on explore that i don't really understand why they're there. my friend told me it was about the number of favorties but that isn't it because the most favorties i've recieved on a picture was 7 and that picture wasn't explored. i don't know how it works.

Thanks so much for my fifth EXPLORE! February 15, Highest #429

In my best Rolf Harris impression I'll ask "Can you tell what it is yet?" No? Well, it's actually the top off a lovely, vintage silver coffee pot, which I found while clearing out an old cabinet, it was hidden away amongst other odds and ends. I decided to give it a chance to shine on a lovely sunny day in our garden.

Uploaded on Valentines Day as a little reminder not to forget about the things we love....

MOC idea that's been floating in my head for a while now, and an excuse to use some of the parts I obtained at BrickMagic.

He is 87 years old and still full of life - probably more than many of the young people

Maybe it is just because the curved tank allows conversations to be heard from the back of the room. But I think I have noticed that when young families come into an Aquarium they start talking to themselves. Maybe it is the strangeness of the life forms, but they start talking about all kinds of things, sometimes even the fish.

Albuquerque, New Mexico

Rio Grande Gardens and Aquarium.

What better way to explore New Zealand? I though this motor-home was placed here by the town but it was in fact in use by people travelling.

You might wonder why there is so many pictures of that bald guy today in the Interestingness. This is an initiative of the flickr@paris group : getting as many photos of the same item in Explore on the day as possible. The item being their beloved and megalomaniac leader : philippe leroyer (who actually wrote this little text).

If you want to participate in that initiative, just comment and fave this picture (and the other ones that you'll find).

Let's see how far we can go here !

Used Equipment: Pentax K10D, Sigma 10-20 mm F4-5.6 DG EX at 14 mm, HDR 5 exposures at F5.6, ISO 100, B+W Polarizing Filter, Manfrotto Tripod.
