Just one of the billions of photos they made me take that day. It was fun though! Vivitar 285hv bounced off roof.
Met Bert and his wife Marie at a Community Center as I was charging up my electronics (cell phone, camera and laptop) due to storm SANDY.
I wish I knew how to play Chess...I would have joined him in the game.

Saw this perfect red 2008 Lotus Exige, which can be rented for time on the Track at Pacific Raceway in Auburn WA through ProFormance Racing School (in case you are curious: $200 per 30 minute session for advanced drivers). I would love to drive this car one day... but considering that I once totaled a rental snowmobile (and lost my deposit) it may be a while.
The line-art treament was applied becasue I really see these cars as almost comic book-like superheroes of the car world. And although the red stands out in color, the equally colorful background became too busy and the B/W treatment reduced the impact of a busy background.
Below is a 2009 BMW M3 BMW Track Taxi in which one rides along while a Pro Driver demonstrates hot lap driving techniques ($95 per session).

Matchbox Twenty - Bright Lights
"She got out of town
On a railway New York bound"
The sea speaks, regurgitates her
past, the curve of an oaken spar,
bitten by sea-ants, weathering
like the tongue of a boot, recklessly
flung by waves, beating seaweed
on a sandlocked beach, where the sun
pours contempt, from its barrels of heat.
Caulking those voices, screaming from
the bowels of the sea, to be heard
from their sargasso bed; not browning
with almond leaves after five hundred
years, mocking the tides as she speaks.
A diver skims the blue, paddling
with dolphin ease. A shark measures
his rhythm then departs. Whirlpools,
opaque metacarpals of the deep,
swirl, enveloping his dark feet.
Five hundred years, flesh grinding flesh
in its mill, rooted to bowels
alive in Earth, chewing their bits
spat from the top of mountaintops.
Drizzling their ash on valleys green
with a feverish melody,
strummed by wind and rain on box
guitars from the hills, when evenings
call for the brown bark acajou,
chiselled to shape the Cibonae's
hermetic shape.
Love is the fever, burnishing
the wood: Heaven is a gap through
the teeth of leaves. When the wind blows,
the curve of a woman, smoothen
by riverstones, excites a brave.
Her body's musk, like corn wine,
soothes the swelling around his lips.
Five hundred years, buried in shale;
horse dung, fossilized. The carrion
of an age nurses the navel
of vines, where the iguana breeds.
Great names, the verdigris of cities,
are buried here: Tolum; Tikal;
Palenque; Cozumel; Mayapan.
Wrapped in their jaguar shields, star shells,
their rulers rest, waiting their "tzab"
to dawn, bring resurrection...
