I walked the lake and took this POV with my iPhone. Then I decided to walk home, get my a1 with the wide angle, return, and do it again. The water was so calm the reflection was perfect, and the clouds eliminated the sun's reflections. I wanted the detail that only the a1 could capture

Cottonwood Trail, City of Boulder Open Space & Mountain Parks. Something about a train rushing through the snow - love it!!!

I know I have took and posted a similar picture before but this was taken with my new Hi Tech 10mm 10 stop filter with a lee 0.6 ND grad so wanted to show everyone.

The sky was quite white at this point but the nd grad bought back some detail.

i did colour correct this but decided it actually looked nice with a cooler colour so changed it back slightly.

This is a 130 second exposure thanks to my new Hi Tech filter.

Back to work tomorrow so won't be on as much for a couple of days but will be getting out with my new stuff soon for some picture taking.

My camera was on my tripod and fired via cable release using bulb mode and timed with my watch.

Getting my photo mojo back so I've got lots of ideas springing back into my mind again.

A winter's view of the Swiss alps. I took this photo from the Emmental where the famous cheese with huge holes is coming from. By the way, there is a cheese dairy close to this place where you can watch them making the Emmental cheese.

Not too long ago, I rode along the intimate road of West Lake on Thursday and observed many changes in this place. I heard that the local government has approved the construction of an opera house project near the lake. In this image, which my friend captured and of us standing here, you can see the area where the opera house will be built. I’m unsure about what will happen or how this will affect the area in the future once in the opera house has been completed?

I truly love this place and feel a deep emotional connection to it. West Lake belongs to everyone - to me, to the local people living around it and to many couples. I’m posting this content I like and with no offense intended. I will cherish the soul, beauty and traditional culture that this place represents. 😔

Certainly, cultural values often face challenges over time. I hope that West Lake will develop while preserving its tradition, culture and environment. Because this place is a part of me, cheers!! 😄

Working with Lotte in the studio on this project was once again a wonderful experience. It was our first collaboration in this context, and I think we’ll be working together more often in the future.

"short films – …and then we‘ll call it even"

In the silent arena of our minds, where thoughts dance like invisible actors, a profound equality among us all is revealed. These inner conflicts, which do not manifest themselves in the outside world, are the invisible threads that weave the fabric of human existence. They are the silent struggles that each of us, regardless of gender or external circumstances, wages in the depths of our souls. These inner struggles are not mere challenges, but essential components of human existence that initiate us into the mysteries of life.

Every person faces their own inner battles, which are unique in their intensity and significance. These psychological struggles cannot be compared, as they are an expression of each individual's journey through the depths of consciousness. They are the touchstones that shape us and lead us to explore the limits of our being. Overcoming these inner conflicts holds the possibility of growth, transformation, and enlightenment.

The pursuit of overcoming these inner struggles is a deeply personal and often solitary journey. It challenges us to look into the darkness within ourselves and find the glimmers of light that guide us. In this inner argument lies the chance to discover the essence of our being and strengthen the connection to our true self. Thus, these inner conflicts are not only tests, but also invitations to self-knowledge and spiritual development.

I kept this series practically closed as a self-portrait series for a very long time. I think it’s time to open it up and at the same time connect it to my overarching theme, the portraits.

As a rule, these are long exposure shots with exposure times varying between 2 and 30 seconds. In this case 6 seconds. They are series that deal with a range of human feelings and thoughts. They deal with desire, loss, regret and pain and the attempt to process all of this.
