NASA's mobile launcher is inside High Bay 3 at the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) on Sept. 11, 2018, at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. In view are several levels of the new work platforms. One level has been extended around the mobile launcher tower, and the crew access arm, in view at the top, is being extended. The mobile launcher will spend seven months in the VAB undergoing testing. The 380-foot-tall structure is equipped with the crew access arm and several umbilicals that will provide power, environmental control, pneumatics, communication and electrical connections to the agency's Space Launch System and Orion spacecraft. Exploration Ground Systems is preparing the ground systems necessary to launch SLS and Orion on Exploration Mission-1, missions to the Moon and on to Mars. Photo credit: NASA/Frank Michaux

Built for Andromeda's Gates on Eurobricks. The MW-4 mech features moving legs, a working claw and missile launcher.
It was fun using a bunch of assorted parts in 4 different blues for the landscape.

Celebrating Flickr's 21st birthday - day 9's theme is Exploration.
"Monument to the Discoveries" (Portuguese: "Padrão dos Descobrimentos")
The monument is located along the Tagus River where ships departed to explore and trade with India and Orient. It celebrates the Portuguese Age of Discovery (or Age of Exploration) during the 15th and 16th centuries. The top three figures are Prince Henry the Navigator (with a model ship in his hands), Ferdinand the Saint (kneeling) and João Goncalvez Zarco (captain of the ship that first sailed to Madeira in 1419).
The monument was conceived in 1939 by Portuguese architect José Ângelo Cottinelli Telmo, and sculptor Leopoldo de Almeida, as a temporary beacon during the Portuguese World Fair opening in 1940. 1958-1960, a new monument was constructed in cement and rose-tinted stone. Although the project was based on Cottinelli Telmo's plan, he was replaced after his death by António Pardal Monteiro as primary architect.
These are the Space Exploration photos I did for this month's issue of Bright Metallic! My first time doing this too, so I was stoked to see what I could accomplish. Le banc permet également une meilleure exploitation des ressources, dans un milieu très dilué : en augmentant localement le volume global du banc, par rapport au volume d'un individu, on multiplie la probabilité de trouver une source de nourriture, car, si un seul des membres du banc détecte, par exemple, un banc de plancton, le groupe entier peut en profiter.
