Two large water droplets exploding.

I was experimenting with suspended balloons (blue) filled with water which I then shot with an air rifle. As you can see by using a highspeed shutter the water didnt have enough time to entirely loose its shape.

February Lucky Stars BOM

Took this long exposure with the intention of getting some decent movement in the clouds as they were moving pretty fast. Upon processing it appeared as an explosion in the old Powder Magazine. Canon 7D, Sigma 10-20@10mm, 30 seconds, f14, ISO400, tripod.

The sky is exploding over the Lilla Essingen island in the central parts of Stockholm. I was walking home from the supermarket when i saw the colors in the sky starting to burst, i went home to grab my camera and went up to a high point above the highway to catch it..

My prototype exploding track. Just push down on the plunger (it'll be farther away in the final)and watch the pieces fly everywhere. It takes a couple minutes to set back up but it's worth it. The door at the bottom is for shaking out any parts that fell inside the box. Sorry about the fuzzyness, I have a horrible camera.

An older shot from last summer.

Last weeks of autumn - going back 2 months that is.

Maple trees on the left and native gum trees on the right - import vs local?

Classical vanishing point - may be.

Cold causes maple trees to explode by freezing the sap which contains water that expands as it freezes, creating a sound like a gunshot. The sound is produced as the tree bark splits, with the wood contracting as the sap expands. Native eucalyptus trees are known to explode during bush fires due to the high flammability of vaporised eucalyptus oil produced by the tree naturally........Wikipedia

That is what everyone in Tampa calls this piece of "art". According to Google, the sculptor did not name it.
