we are picking up Elsie from school this afternoon (yippee!) and staying over in east London for an evening meal. Peter is cooking chicken and chorizo lasagne (a Spanish take on an Italian dish) which has become a family favourite. Back soon .. .

Horned Grebe (Podiceps auritus) family a feeding time. The female in this image is carrying one of the young while the male goes out to find something to feed to the youngster riding on mom's back. This activity was on a small urban pond in southwest Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Scottish Highlander at dusk! Late afternoon at a nature reserve near Hilversum, the Netherlands. Looking for some deer, found them but they were to skittish! These "Scottish Highlanders" however were wiling to pose!

The St. Walpurgis festival is held in May and the same named chapel the center of that event. Always worth to visit.

Nature always gives us some amazing moments to capture and share and I was just lucky to get a few shots of the Meyer's parrot in a tree. In a blink of an eye this small African parrot colourful display was over.

Size: ±21 cm and 90-130g. (Satara, Kruger National Park, RSA).
