This is a photo from a roll of expired 1983 Fujichrome 100 slide film, that I shot about two weeks ago. I knew there would be a very low probability of success when I chose to experiment with this film. I was very excited when I got the results. The fact that anything at all showed up on the film is extraordinary, considering this film is nearly thirty years old.

Matt, Tim, and I had gone running on this day on a track in Paw Paw and as I recall, Tim ended up throwing up afterwards. I know he was smoking a lot before and after. These are his shoes on that very day. You probably also shouldn't run in Converse. Those things are darn uncomfortable.
It was late July and we'd just walked for a couple of hours around that headland on the left. The wind was cool -- some people we saw on the trail and on the beach were wearing jackets -- but I was warm, so I paddled around in the water. And then a bigger wave came in and I got wet up beyond my waist. My wife happened to have my camera in hand. It took my shorts three hours to dry out.
