This little series of three randomly-composed doubles has nothing to do with the animated show "Cowboy Bebop" (or Bebop, except in spirit and the emphasis on improvisation) -- I simply liked the name (oh yes, and there are cowboys in each image ;). Right.
Again, I really haven't had the time for much/anything photography-related these days, so I loaded a roll of expired Elite Chrome [7.2000] into my Supersampler and quickly fired it off on the evening of the 23rd, grabbing a series of snaps and drive-by's, mostly double-exposed, of course. Well, thank you for stopping by. Prost! ^_^

On the way from Napier to Palmerston North we took a detour to visit the longest place name in the world. Its basically a huge sign in the middle of nowhere.
Taumata-whakatangihanga-kōauau-a-Tamatea-pōkai-whenua-ki-tāna-tahu (Tamatea, the man with the big knees, who slid, climbed and swallowed mountains, known as landeater, played his flute to his loved one).
After driving all the way there my digital camera decided not to work so I had to get out my old Minolta. The colour and exposure is a bit screwy because I used an old expired slide film - half the photos on the film were too light and half were too dark.
I snuck over to this horse farm near our house (inside the I285 perimeter in fact) about a week ago and finished off this roll of Fuji Velvia that I had in my dad's Canon EF. I had to make 2 trips though because I originally forgot the 70-230mm lens and without that reach I wouldn't have gotten many usable images (in my opinion at least). I guess I could have snuck inside the fence, but I didn't want to be too adventurous before work...
I'm sure I'll go back here again in the next several days since a)I just got a "new" block of expired Fuji Astia that I bought off ebay (circa 2004) and b) the light in the morning has been brilliant. There has lately been a small amount of fog/steam rising off the dew-laden grass in the morning just catching the right amount of sunlight. Man it feels like a dream with the horses meandering through the middle of these fields. I just have to get out there again...
Well enough of that. Anyways, hope you all have had a good night :)
I shot off two rolls inside this car, but the color of the expired slide film shifted so much that it was a pain to scan.
Now this song has been running through my head all morning...
