More expired film.
An off brand disposable 35mm camera
with ASA 100 colour film.
Expired September, 1999,... 24 years!
Most of this roll was too dark but these two
I thought, just maybe, I could salvage.
I did an auto correct in Picmonkey and this happened.
I rather like them. Like an old autochrome. Kinda sorta.
This is a picture taken with a film that I bought 15 years ago.

This is another photo from my new book: Expired Vol. 4 - Ansco Versapan. Here's the entry from my travel journal for this day (also in the book):
Day Eleven - July 10
Kettle Lake, North Dakota
The storm last night was impressive. Once it picked up, I moved to the car to escape the 60mph winds and predicted hail (which never fell). Even without it, this was the worst storm I had ever camped in. How the tent didn't take flight, I have no idea. I was legitimately scared last night.
Tonight, I am camped in the same place having performed a loop that brought me back to the loving arms of Kettle Lake.
All of today was amazing. While I got little sleep, I rose with the cool dawn and slowly gathered my things. The route took me through a few counties in western North Dakota. The morning skies were glorious as I visited and photographed old churches, houses, and schools.
Bad roads were an issue throughout the entire day, but especially in the morning. There were a few locations I could not reach, and many roads where my car drifted slowly sideways, but the places I could reach - and there were many - made every closed road worth it.
The photo I am sharing was taken at an early 1900 farmstead that a friend confirmed to me as a must-see.
There are several means by which I find these places. Satellite imagery is probably the most important, but word of mouth adds much to the story.
As a rule, I don't simply give out exact locations. Those have to be earned, in a sense. I don't mean that I want you to find them yourselves (though maybe you should), but rather, if I don't know you, I don't know why you need to see these places. Maybe it's for the same reasons I do. But it's just not a concern that I have.
Most of the abandoned homes and schools are in a fragile state. Many have already been brutally vandalized. Additionally, many are unsafe.
Sometimes I feel that even I shouldn't know about these locations. I like to see myself as a good steward of abandoned treasures, but even sharing the few photos that I do sends a message.
And, of course, I can't tell you not to go. You should go. But please be kind.

It’s been a while. Dusted the cobwebs off the tripod and bothered some trees for bit. Might do it some more.
