This year I bought two different Clematis plants with a view to eventually obscuring a plain wooden fence my neighbour put up. One of the clematis has already flowered. This one (Taiga), despite being planted earlier, has taken longer to become established and has only just produced its first flower. I'm so pleased.

Yes ok so I Iost the plot a long time ago but what happened here is that I spent my morning in my upstairs room retrieving old photos from a very old laptop before stripping it down completely . Mr. Bean's teddy was laying around since I photo'd it the other day, and lovely husband picked it up and propped it up against the laptop screen which has an old photo of Caswell Bay as a background. It made me laugh so much that I almost fell off my perching stool.
I've always liked sci-fi and astronomical pictures and it was really fun and interesting delving deep into some of my photo editing programmes recently to make this universe edit...
This picture is made from about 70 different photos of mine and I applied several abstract, geometric and conceptual apps to create the planets in this picture.
The picture is kind of portraying an ever expanding and chaotic universe... so hope it works!

These are a pair of festive earring that my OH bought for me in Cardiff yesterday. Useful as photo props but useless as earrings because I haven't worn dangly earrings since we started to wear masks . I might though wear them at home for MS Cymru's Festive Zoom Quiz this coming Friday.
Finally got around to editing my Dune build to fit the lurid machinations of the Chiss family rivalries.

On the edge of Kingsmere Lake, Mackenzie King spent almost 50 years (1903 – 1950) improving and expanding his estate, which he bequeathed to all Canadians. From the moment we enter this picturesque estate through wooded paths, we can enjoy the beauty of the Mooreside Main House and gardens where he hosted several important statesmen such as Winston Churchill among others. The spirits lead us to King’s historical ruins:
The Abbey Ruins
The stones from the Abbey Ruins were pieced together from remnants of other buildings, including
- the Canadian Parliament Building destroyed from fire in 1916,
- the crest of a former speaker of the House of Commons at Westminster, England,
- the stones from the printing office owned by King’s maternal grandfather, and
- the temple-like front piece (“Greek temple on a hill” he says) – came from a bay window removed from a Sandy Hill house about to be demolished. His imagination turned the bay window into the Acropolis.
Mackenzie King Estate, Gatineau Park, Québec, Canada

Spotted in the garden of the old village school. The garden has been lovingly planted and maintained by a group of local residents and now looks wonderful.

Before you stands the great western divide. This ridge of peaks divides the kaweah river drainage in from of you from the kern River drainage on the other side. The great western divide rises high enough to block the view of Mount Whitney, tallest of the Sierran peaks at 14,494 feet.
In 1890, Sequoia National Park included the Giant Forest but not the peaks you see in the distance. Over time, ideas of what should be preserved in a national park changed. in 1926, this view became park scenery when Congress enlarged the boundary to the crest of Sierra Nevada.
Although, there is quite a smell from garlic I must say it does enhance some foods!

Sorry I haven’t posted or visited much this week; dad duties are filling the day and then some. I look forward to catching up on both this weekend! Have a great Friday everyone!
Caption definitely doesn't refer to how 'tight' I am with my money but to the fact that since Lockdown in March 2020 I haven't been to the Cashpoint to get any cash out with most places only accepting contactless card payments. In fact I bought this new purse last February but these days rarely take it out with me because my DD and donor cards fit nicely into my 'fraud safe' mobile phone cover. To give it a fairly aged look I put it through Lightroom CC
Must be great to sit in this wonderful house looking across the gorse on Royal Troon Golf course and then across the sea!

Taken from 1-Chome 15-1 Hanakawado apartment rooftop. A 25 seconds exposure captured both colors of the Skytree. The weather was cooperative at that moment, had to wait for the rain to stop though. Somewhat lucky! I hope it will be of interest to some of you. Once again, thanks for looking!
Your comments & faves are greatly appreciated!

We finally got back to one of our favourite places to walk. After having to shelter under the trees whilst a rain storm passed over the rest of our walk was dry and most enjoyable.
