Taken at Pili Palas Butterfly House on Anglesey. If anyone knows what species this is, please let me know.
This photograph was taken in the exotic birds section in London Zoo using my compact camera Nikon Coolpix S9300 after about 5 minutes of trying to get the cameras autofocus to do what I wanted it to do! This is the one infuriating thing about the Nikon Coolpix, the manual focus is completely useless and doesn't work, and the autofocus is annoying as it decides to focus on random things instead of your intended target which is central in shot.
Has been edited using Adobe Lightroom 4.4 and Adobe Photoshop CC to bring out some of the colours and fix the exposure issues.
Pretty happy with the photos, although I would have liked to get it more in focus, which would have been achievable with my DSLR, however with my compact camera this was rather difficult.
I did not manage to catch the name of the bird, so if anyone knows I would be interested to know which species it is.
