Jersey Zoo is a zoological park established in 1959 on the island of Jersey in the English Channel by naturalist and author Gerald Durrell (1925–1995). It is operated by the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust.
Jersey Zoo has always concentrated on rare and endangered species. It has mammals, birds, amphibians and reptiles, comprising over 130 species.
Had done this while on my way to work just now. Was thinking about a nice lovely beach vacation (really needed one) when doin this. Ahh... Lovely. Done using Eastern Drawing app on my iPhone.

While the buffalo is pretty exotic for Winnipeg the white buffalo is even more so. The result of a recessive mutation that leaves the hair follicles without the dark pigment melanin.
Due to its remarkable appearance and rarity over the centuries, a White Buffalo became a powerful spirit in First Nation's plains culture (Dakota, Lakota and others).

During our back-and-forth trips across Central Park today I made a point of taking pictures of all the exotic birds we saw. Sadly, we didn't see any exotic birds, so I had to make a point to also take pictures of all the humdrum birds we saw, too.
