In last days there was possible to buy various exotic fruits in local supermarkets. Of course, I had to do it. Here are some of them.

When I read that Mandarin Ducks had been sighted, I woke up at 4:30 to miss the morning rush to try and capture them. I was lucky, he was right where he had been the day before.
Because he was in the shade, I had to adjust my settings accordingly: ISO - 1000, f / 4.0, 1/250 sec. To get a shot at eye level, I laid on my stomach on wet dirt where the birds had gathered (you get the picture).
I have many more that I still need to see, but I was so thrilled to get this shot that I processed the first good shot I saw so I could post it tonight.

Sun at the right angle in the morning for some nice shadows.
Having been introduced from Asia in the mid-1700s, the Mimosa tree also called silk tree (Albizia julibrissin), is beautiful and exotic. It has now made itself at home throughout North Carolina and the entire southeast and like all invasive non native trees it's thriving at the expense of native trees. They are so dramatic and beautiful like this specimen at Robinwood Lake that it's hard not to love them. ^_^
"Been experimenting with AI for image creation while taking an online AI class!
I know there are mixed feelings about AI-generated art among photographers, but I wanted to explore tools like DALL-E, MidJourney, and Firefly to see what they could do.
Ended up creating about 40-50 images and I will share many of them here.
Curious to hear your thoughts—both positive and negative. Feel free to throw your comments at me!
I have been missing the spring time flowers during the cold short winter days. So I created an unusual arrangement of two species. The extreme depth of field is do to focus stacking 147 images together.

I got the idea for this figure by looking at this picture, img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130330041142/destinypedia/i.... I was intrigued by the one, second to the end on the right. I made more than half of the figure, but then I stopped working on it, and gradually lost the inspiration. I might continue this figure, but for now I'm putting it on hold. That's about it, thanks for looking! :)
Two-tailed pasha (Charaxes jasius).
This is one of the most exotic butterfly species you can find on Crete (or even Europe). They are as big as the swallowtails (if not a bit bigger) and can be found throughout the coasts of the Mediterranean. They appear in two broods each year, one during May/June and another one later, at the end of summer. This one graced me with her presence yesterday, but she seemed to prefer high perches, so this was the best I could do :-)
