"The acclaimed Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular, presented by Citizens Bank, returns to Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence with shows running nightly from October 2nd through November 2nd. This highly anticipated annual event, created by the artists and craftsmen of Passion for Pumpkins, features a breathtaking display of 5,000 illuminated jack-o-lanterns, with over 125 of them artistically carved and displayed in scenes to play out the annual theme. The Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular has become one of the region’s most enchanting fall traditions, with over 100,000 people attending each of the last four years.
Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular 2014: Jack-O-Lanterns from A to Z
The 2014 presentation, titled “Jack-O-Lanterns from A to Z,” will delight new and repeat visitors alike. Scenes filled with intricate pumpkin art will be arrayed in alphabetical order, with highlights from history and popular culture, and another section will honor inspirational figures. Popular annual features will return, as well as the show’s dazzling grand finale, the Laughing Tree. Hundreds of glowing jack-o-lanterns on the ground and high up in the trees surround carved giants (well over 1,000 pounds) amid spooky fog and music, punctuated by its iconic catchy beat and laughter.

When: October 2 - November 2.
Admission opens at 6pm; pumpkin trail opens at dusk.
Last admission Sunday - Friday at 10pm; Trail Closes at 11pm.
Last admission on Saturdays at 11pm; Trail Closes at 12am.
PLEASE NOTE: The Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular is open rain or shine, however, in cases of severe weather or weather-related technical difficulties the show might close early. Please check our website, Facebook and Twitter pages for frequent updates.
Pricing Monday – Thursday: $12 adults; $10 seniors; $9 children ages 3 – 12
Pricing Friday – Sunday: $16 adults; $14 seniors; $13 children ages 3 – 12
Toddlers two and under are always admitted for free."
