This is a close up image of one of two custom stretch multitouch LCD monitors which are found below two enormous red cedar totem poles from British Columbia. These beautiful totem poles are at the entrance to the Hall of Native Americans at the world-renowned Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago.
These ultra-wide touch monitors were custom built by Ideum for the Field Museum. The monitors have a 16:5 aspect ratio and support up to 20 simultaneous touch points.
The custom touch screens help describe the features found on the totem poles which are "ornately carved with figures of grizzly bears, birds, and killer whales."

Ortiz and Ideum worked with Colorado College to determine the most effective way to utilize the 1800-square-foot exhibit space and create a powerfully immersive environment for visitors. The exhibit features large scale projection on three walls of the gallery, each utilizing a single projector, with 3D mapped projection on two obelisks and moon models. A battle scene between the Aeronauts and the Castilians fills the center of the exhibit space, with full sized mannequins sporting battle regalia designed and created by Ortiz. In addition, the side walls include projection mapping utilizing Ortiz’s family symbol, Wild Spinach, and his signature “turkey track” X signature. ideum.com/portfolio/revolution-exhibit
The walls of the booth were signed by several celebrities including: Chad Ochocinco, Herschel Walker, Lesley Visser, Jay Fiedler, Joe Rose, Kurt Warner, Lynn Swann, Joe Theismann, Mark Sanchez, Jerome “The Bus” Bettis, Tiki Barber, James Carville, Brooklyn Decker, Tim Hardaway, Dara Torres, Troy Aikman, Jared from Subway, “Papa” John Schnatter, and Ralphie May. After the event parts of the signed wall were auctioned off for charity.

Lemonade stand designed and built to serve as a refreshment station in the exterior parking lot of a Casino.
Designed and decorated for the Seminole Tribe of Florida boat entry into the Winterfest Boat parade in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. This 111' 3-deck catamaran was decorated on each side with a 12' x 16' light up dance fever sign, 15' Hard Rock logo and a 10' x 30' LED lighted guitar with lighted flames behind.

In the early stages of design an exhibit, our team of designers research artifacts in order to create a visually exciting immersive experience. The design team translates the artifact designs into stylized illustrations for an immersive projection exhibit at the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame. Their exhibit uses an Ideum 65" Platform multitouch table and immersive projection. The Ebbets Field interactive model exhibit developed by Ideum and Gensler. The field is designed for projection mapping and an LED tile wall behind the model finished the installation. Ideum designed and integrated the AV elements, while our partner Gensler DXD authored the software program which tells important stories of Jackie Robinson’s career and his activism.

This custom conference table features three multitouch displays embedded in a varnished quilted maple frame. Our skilled craftspeople processed the raw wood in our Exhibit Fabrication Studio and both the displays and the computer were assembled in our workshop. The Girl Scouts visit on July 24, 2019, was part of Ideum’s ongoing support of local non-profit organizations whose mission is to support local education and social justice.
