Patience & Understanding With Your Woman Is Essential And Beneficial!!

This juvenile Eared Grebe gave me a great show flapping and stretching. Perhaps he was exercising his wings for the long flight south for his winter vacation. Taken at Weed Lake, east of Calgary, Alberta. I will catch up with everyone later.

Thank you for your visit and comments. They are very much appreciated.

Not to worry, they all came back to the same spot ten seconds later

Alright class, good warmup! Now everyone stretch like this!

Image of Great Crested Grebe taken at Dishley Pool in Loughborough. On one of my exercise walks that takes me past the pool I stopped to see what was about and the Grebe popped up right in front of me, made my day doesn't take much to make me happy these days.

Hope you liked my last Flickr pic – I’ve managed to cover up my modesty now with this old jacket from Addams. I really love the way Second Life looks at the moment with the new Bento heads and some amazing appliers from a variety of different stores. When I compare myself with how I looked when I first entered this wonderful world there is no comparison whatsoever – I really do feel now like I have an alternate existence here that’s almost as vivid as the real thing. Just wish it would get less laggy!!

…gets the worm. The physiological changes in migrating shorebirds, like this female kōlea plucking earthworms from the leaf litter, over the next few weeks prior to departure are astonishing. The necessity of increasing fat load for the sustained energy demands of long-distance migration has been compared to, in terms of percentage body fat, larding up to morbid obesity in humans. The surge in heart and lung capacity and increase in pectoral flight muscle are driven by hormonal changes (without the drudgery of exercise!). With a journey of 3,000 miles to landfall in Alaska and unable to land on the water, this kōlea will embark on a nonstop life or death marathon flight of 72 to 96 hours; longer if unfavorable weather conditions are encountered. Arriving at the nesting ground does not eliminate the enormous energy demand as she then must select a mate, produce a clutch of eggs, and ward off predators.

Thanks to the government for our 1 hour exercise.

Following strict distancing guidelines throughout.

Be safe & well good people.

El paseo de los filósofos (哲学の道 Tetsugaku-no-michi, lit.

The Philosopher's Walk (哲学の道, Tetsugaku-no-michi, lit. Path of Philosophy) is a pedestrian path that follows a cherry-tree-lined canal in Kyoto, Japan between Ginkaku-ji and Nanzen-ji. First opened in 1890 and extended again in 1912, the path follows the course of a shallow irrigation channel bringing water from the Lake Biwa Canal. The route is so-named because two 20th-century Japanese philosophers and Kyoto University professors Nishida Kitaro and Hajime Tanabe are thought to have used it for daily exercise. The path passes a number of temples and shrines such as Hōnen-in, Ōtoyo Shrine, and Eikan-dō Zenrin-ji. It takes about 30 minutes to complete the walk, although many people spend more time visiting the sights along the way. On the northern part of the walk, there are good views of the nearby Daimonji. The walk is a popular destination for tourists and locals, especially during hanami.

Not to sound too defensive, but please know that this was a completely staged shot. I certainly do not work out as often as I should, but I never use my exercise bike as a wardrobe. However, that being the cliché, I could not resist the portrayal for today’s photo.
