Excercises on the beach September 20th 2019

As Fleetwood Mac once sang:

Can't help it about the shape I'm in

Can't sing' I ain't pretty and my legs are thin

Don't ask me what I think of you

Might not give the answer that you want me to.

the last two pictures are exercises with different layerstyles, erasing and modifying.

Wearing rubber dresses certainly keeps me fit as even with enough talc or special lube it is both a stuggle to put them on and roll them off afterwards but I'm sure you will agree it's worth it.

It is a trend in Saigon that people doing excercise, dancing early in the morning, in the park, public place...

Another excercise in building from a doodle, and I'm very pleased. Not with my drawing, that's still not brilliant. I like to hope that I'm improving though.

I know the sketch has those cool prong-y bits that stretch from the engine to just under the cockpit, but they don't look anywhere near as neat on the real thing, so I scrapped them.

But anyway, I built a spaceship. There's a shocker, huh? Something different next though, I promise. Well, promise is a strong word. Maybe, just maybe, it won't have wings. There. Satisfied?

With the tail end of the summer season, a lot more Coaster buses have been popping up on the 13X, and I decided to try the route out.

My driver towards Eastbourne was pretty heavy-footed and led to some fast driving on the flatter bits on the Tourist Trail portions, which was surprising giving the gutless reputation of these small-engined deckers.

Here, 941 (BX15 ONT) approaches the pedestrianised front of the Beacon shopping centre on the way to it's final stop, the Pier.

I work and then when I get home there's lots to do - homework help, make dinner, make lunches, laundry, stuff around the house, maybe take a photo....so if I do not change out of my work clothes and right into exercise gear, it is likely not going to happen. It is soo much harder in the winter time when there is less light and it's so damn cold. But today - i got it done. Gotta shed the winter lbs.

Shahdarkrayne is a 3 year old Arabian gelding.... sweet as can be! he loved playing with my camera and lens carriers and followed me everywhere when I was trying to get some shots of Autumns philly born May 3rd, their owner is Katie who also excercises and conditions my paint Tuxedo 3x a week.

one needs to proceed gently and slowly, when everything is sooo delicate...

from 15 cm square of quite thin paper as a result of innocent conversation with Filip and Robin :) 10 levels, but as Malachi said, it's not for sane people, but... who cares :)

this is my first 10 levels hydrangea, but the center really isn't neat, 9 levels from this size is quite reasonable, but ten is too much, i wasn't able to narrow these last petals

Trying to get a motion shot for "Excercise!" in the Flickr Monthly Scavenger Hunt was a decent workout. I'm still not happy with the shot but I'm done...

The task tonight was to set up a basic 'still life' and light it as you see fit ... here are the results !!!

The images were lit by using my Canon 430EX II flashgun behind a white umbrella, all controlled wirelessly by my 7D.

Thanks to Jeff and Brian for supplying the 'props' tonight !

Excercising the old D2X.

A portrait of 37604 sitting in the former "up" loop in what remains of Workington yard.

This loco had latterly been a member of the XHSS (stored serviceable) pool & stored at M.O.D Longtown.

On June the 16th it worked 0C92 Longtown to Kingmoor and by the following morning had appeared in the XHCC (Cumbrian Coast) pool, suggesting that something was afoot.

On Thursday 22nd it worked Kingmoor to Workington as 0Z37 with "CCTB" appearing on some TOPS lists erroneously hinting that it might be the oft' mooted Cumbrian Coast "Thunderbird".

In actual fact, with only five functioning traction motors that was never going to be the case and the loco is stabled at Workington to facilitate the training of Northern Rail drivers on the type.

How long for remains to be seen but I suspect that when that role ends it will be for the chop.

An exercise...just for the hell of it ;)

A picture from my fitness shoot with the terrific Lane and Zhenya on 7/29/17 at Lunatic Lens Studio in Phoenix. This shoot was great fun. Makeup and hair by the models themselves. On Zhenya, the main light was a DigiBee800 with a standard 7" reflector fitted with a 20° grid, camera left. Zhenya's rim light was an Alien Bees B1600 fired into a medium gridded strip bank, behind her, camera left. Both lights were triggered with Pocket Wizards. A large, white foam-core board was to Zhenya's left to fill shadows.
