I was laying on my belly in the dunes and photographing snowy plovers when they suddenly all adopted this terrified posture. Looking up I saw the cause of their fear: a peregrine falcon overhead was making big parabolic dives at some waterfowl in the adjacent lagoon. Snowy plover, Cambria, California.

Everybody's Theatre in Opunake, Taranaki is an elegant and heritage theatre that has recently been restored to its former 1921 glory. This historic single screen theatre now houses the latest 2D digital technology and has several options of seating, upstairs has new large cinema seating and includes some of the original seating, while downstairs has an eclectic range of sofas and chairs.

Hello everyone! Haven't posted here in a while. :-)
I finally found time and inspiration to finish this piece.
It’s inspired by an event that happened to me last year when I did something wrong. My wrongdoing led to a chain reaction which resulted in a few people getting hurt.
A while after it happened, when the guilt started to disappear, I came to conclusion that although I was accountable for starting the mess, everybody else involved contributed to the outcome of it.
That’s when I realized it - in human relationships, the outcome of conflicts is influenced by joined acts of everyone involved.
Thank goodness for sights like this...
After a wonderful summer break, I’m back at work. Fifteen hundred 12-18 year olds are thrilled (garrulously) to see their friends again, after seven weeks apart...
Glacial-speed WiFi at home, is driving me insane.
I have builders, electricians and plumbers buzzing (singing and whistling!) around the house, remodelling...

A little ‘plug’: I’ve recently had three pictures chosen for a charity calendar in aid of ‘The Samaritans’ and ‘CALM’ (Campaign Against Living Miserably).
The calendar features scenic photos of the Class 68s taken across the stunning TransPennine route.
The calendar has been coordinated and produced by Joe Munro who is part of the management team responsible for the Nova 3 sets.

As mentioned yesterday I was in Swansea on Friday and dropped into Langland bay. It felt that the world and his wife were running into the sea with their boards. It could only have been a few degrees above freezes but there were a good dozen people in as you can see.
We were surprised that the waves were so big as it was relatively calm but they were catching the waves for sure.
Again the light wasn’t great as the sea mist had rolled in to make it quite an overcast afternoon.
It is one activity that I would have loved to have learnt and mastered but have only been once, we had a family surfing lesson, needless to say the children were far better than us adults. Maybe one day I’ll have the time to revisit this childhood dream...
