Governor Kay Ivey gave participated in the GoMESA press event to announce the projects supported by funds from the Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act of 2006 (GoMESA) at the GulfQuest Maritime Museum Friday, July 14, 2023 in Mobile, Ala. During the event, Governor Ivey announced 27 projects totaling over $67 million, focusing on sewer infrastructure, water quality improvements, research, land acquisitions and recreational access improvements. With this announcement, more than $180 million has been awarded for 78 GoMESA projects during the Ivey Administration. (Governor’s Office /Billy Pope)
