Un día de viento, con su carga de dolor innecesario e impunidad transitoria, hace recordar a la filósofa alemana de origen judío Hannah Arendt cuando, en el ensayo Eichmann en Jerusalén, escribió: Las bolsas de olvido no existen. Ninguna obra humana es perfecta, y, por otra parte, hay en el mundo demasiada gente para que el olvido sea posible. Siempre quedará un hombre vivo para contar la historia.
J. A. Albertini, cubano oriundo de la ciudad de Santa Clara, provincia de Las Villas. Por razones políticas, desde hace más de tres décadas, reside en los Estados Unidos de Norteamérica. Es autor de las novelas: Tierras de extraños, A orillas del paraíso, Cuando la sangre mancha, El entierro del enterrador y Allá, donde los ángeles vuelan. También de los libros de entrevistas y relatos verídicos Miami Medical Team: Testimonio de humanidad y Cuba y castrismo: Huelgas de hambre en el presidio político. Asimismo, ha escrito guiones para varios documentales sobre la realidad cubana actual. En el presente conduce un programa televisivo sobre temas históricos y vigentes que atañen a Cuba, al tiempo que escribe artículos y reseñas literarias para periódicos y revistas. Es miembro del PEN-CLUB de escritores cubanos en el exilio, del Círculo de Cultura Panamericano y director del Instituto de la Memoria Histórica Contra el Totalitarismo.
Según lectores de la obra, en esta nueva novela: Un día de viento, Albertini víctima, desde muy joven de una ideología que impone y construye la historia a capricho de algunos proclamados iluminados, abunda en el sentido de la libertad, compromisos y responsabilidades que rebasan a la muerte. Al respecto un ánima, personaje de la obra, declara: La pena del desarraigo es perenne y perdura por encima de la realidad de la muerte. Lo que se reprime nunca se va del todo. Con más fuerzas, y tal vez por otros caminos, siempre regresará.
