Its his favorite spot in the house. The light breeze, movements of people in the house and his life's mission-open doors all are achieved in this one spot.
Sometimes, my father sits with him and talks to him. Tells him what a good boy he is, and they both stare out the window.
I live for this kind of evening talks.

With the sun fading on the mid-fall landscape, the wide angle lens captured some nice shots. Fall evenings can be fantastic!
A late afternoon Irish Rail Commuter service from Dublin to Maynooth approaches Pike's Bridge between Maynooth & Leixlip. The train is made up of two Class 26 Diesel Multiple Units (DMUs), lead by number 2607.
This stretch of line was built by the MGWR (Midland Great Western Railway) as part of their mainline from their Broadstone Terminus in Dublin to Galway. Mainline services from Dublin to Galway continued to use this line right up to the late 70s when they were moved to the more southerly GS&WR built lines as far as Athlone, from where the modern trains still follow the original MGWR route. The MGWR route was Dublin to Mullingar to Athlone to Galway. The modern route is Dublin to Portarlington to Athlone to Galway. With the closure of the line from Mullingar to Athlone it's not even possible to get from here to Galway anymore.

Chilly evening snapshot. Missed out on the sunset, so I thought I'd catch the moonrise.
Best viewed really large!
The Common Evening-Primrose (Oenothera biennis) usually has its flowers closed during the bright-light of day. But this morning on our bird walk around Centennial Park it was so misty and overcast that the flowers remained open.
This shot of having a relaxing drink sitting in a chair in the yard in the evening is semi-bogus. It was actually midday on an overcast day.
The evening sunlight was simulated with a monoblock in a 11" reflector for more concentrated throw from a high stand about 8 meters (25 feet) to the left. A sheet of CTO was taped over the reflector to warm the light. A flag was placed close to the strobe to crank down the illumination behind the subject. The camera was also on a high stand, triggered by the Pocket Wizard in my left hand.
I went for a subtle effect but could easily have amped it up quite a bit as the strobe was firing at half power here.
As I was leaving work to spend the evening with my wife I snapped this picture of the sun behind clouds.
These young Buddhist nuns, like their male counterparts, rely on the generosity of the townspeople for food and upkeep. Twice a day, in the morning and evening, they can be seen walking through the village with rice bowls in hand, collecting meals for private dining behind the temple wall.
The exquisite paradox in Buddhism is that the more we give – and the more we give without seeking something in return – the wealthier (in the broadest sense of the word) we will become. By giving we destroy those acquisitive impulses that ultimately lead to further suffering.
