My lost and refound evaluation form from Quiltcon 2013 exhibition of Flying Geese and Swans. I hope I'm not offending anybody by publishing this. Just to give you a general idea of the format. For me it shows care in formulating an opinion.

I was surprised when they offered the form at pickup, and glad I could have it. After reading I felt all right. I knew some things had not been really perfect and it would be strange if nobody had seen it - and I was glad that the spirit of the quilt was recognized.

Virginia and District of Columbia National Guard Soldiers and Airmen conduct mass casualty response training lanes May 21, 2023, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, in preparation for an external evaluation. The Soldiers and Airmen are assigned to the Richmond-based 34th Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and High-Yield Explosives Enhanced Response Force Package, which provided consequence management, incident site communications, urban search and rescue, mass causality decontamination, technical decontamination, medical triage and stabilization and fatality management during the mock CBRNE response at the Virginia Beach Fire Training Center that included role players with simulated injuries. The Army Interagency Training and Education Center conducts the evaluation and oversees the exercise, along with personnel from National Guard Bureau. The 34th CERFP is tested on a variety of major tasks including establishing a response decontamination site, conducting search and extraction operations, conducting ambulatory and non-ambulatory decontamination, conducting casualty collection and medical triage and providing treatment and emergency care for causalities. For my first ever animation I am quite happy with the final result. I feel have taken the 12 principles into account throughout the animation and used them to the best of my current ability. When I first started animating I was trying to create all the action for every second of animation at once. After speaking to the tutor I was given some good advice which I then attempted to put to good use.I have tried to make use of the extra facial controls I made as well as the extra rigging on the moustache and the hankerchief to create some interesting secondary animation. I was unhappy with how my animation ended originally so I deviated from my clip to try and create a more fun ending for the animation. For the most part I feel I that I managed to create a good sense of weight for my characters motions and feel that the timing for some of the motions works quite well. The animation still seems to have some problematic areas which I would have liked to have solved. The secion of the animation where the cowboy drags his leg does not seem to work well.I believe this is due to a lack of weighting and timing in that section. Also the part where the cowboy turns his foot back in after dragging it still looks very wooden. I used the toe swivel attribute, which I created during the rigging process, for this part of the animation and I believe that may have been causing the problem. I feel I used a good amount of overlapping action and timing, as well as slow in and out to create the part where the cowboy falls on the floor but more follow through could have been used there. I tried to create a background to add interest to the overall look of the animation but as there were no marks been given for this I decided to keep the background simple in design.

Once ready, the patients were welcomed one by one into the clinic, interviewed by the doctors (utilizing a translator if necessary) and decisions were made by the doctors if the patient was a potential candidate for surgery. If approved as a patient, they were then screened by the pediatrician and routine tests performed, i.e. hemoglobin.

ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md. (Oct. 28, 2014) -- Army researchers are evaluating prototype devices developed for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, known as DARPA, Warrior Web program's goal is to create a soft, lightweight undersuit to help reduce injuries and fatigue, while improving mission performance. DARPA is responsible for the development of new technologies for the U.S. military.

Researchers from Harvard University's Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering spent the past two years developing a biologically inspired smart suit that aims to boost efficiency through a new approach. The kit and its assembly:

This is another contribution to the “In the Navy” Group Build at whatifmodelers.com. The idea of a French Navy Skyhawk is not new and has been tackled before (in the form of CG renditions and model hardware alike), and I had been wanting to build one, too, for a long time – and the current GB was a good occasion to tackle a build.

The Skyhawk was actually tested by the Aéronavale, but, as described in the background, not until the early 1970s and together with the LTV A-7, when the Jaguar M came to nothing, not in the late 1950ies where this fictional model is rooted.

Anyway, I liked the Fifties idea much and spun a story around the Étendard’s introduction and a fictional competition for the Aéronavale’s next carrier-borne fighter bomber. The idea was further fueled by the relatively new Airfix model of the early A-4B, which would fit well into the project’s time frame. And I already had a respective kit stashed away for this project...

The Airfix kit is very nice, fit and detail (including, for instance a complete air intake section with a jet fan dummy, and it features a very good pilot figure, too) are excellent, even though some things like very thick sprue attachment points here and there and the waxy, rather soft styrene are a bit dubious. But it’s a good kit, nevertheless, and cleverly constructed: many seams disappear between natural panel lines, it’s a pleasant build.

Since this model was to be a kind of pre-production machine based on a relatively new standard aircraft, not much was changed. Most visible additions are the dorsal spine (a simple piece of sprue, blended onto the back and into the fin fillet) and the ordnance.

But there are minor changes, too: The cannon installation was also modified, from the original wing root position into slightly lower, bulged fairings for the more voluminous DEFA cannon. The fairings were carved from styrene profiles and outfitted with the OOB barrels. IDF Skyhawks/Ahit with 30mm cannons were the design benchmark, blending the fairings into the curved wing roots and hiding the original gun openings was actually the most challenging part of the build.

Some pitots and blade antennae were replaced or changed, too. Lead was cramped into the space between the cockpit and the air intake installation for a proper stance. The Airfix kit is in so far nice as this compartment is easily accessible from below, as long as the wings have not been mounted yet.

The cockpit, together with the pilot figure, were taken OOB, just the pilot’s head was modified to look sideways and an ejection trigger handle was added to the seat.

The pair of AS-30 once were AS-30Ls from an Italeri Mirage 2000 kit, slightly modified with a simple, conical tip and booster rocket nozzles on the tail. The corresponding underwing radar pod is a drop tank from a vintage Airfix Kaman Seasprite, while the other outer pylon carries a scratched camera pod, IIRC it once was a belly tank from a 1:144 F-16.

accent reduction evaluation and assessment

This week I had to submit a self evaluation at my place of employment.

Not only that, but I had to submit evaluations for 21 students as well.

I spent a long time spinning what I really wanted to say to these kids into diplomatic letters, that may or may not be taken to heart. It made me think about what I would write to myself.

It would probably go something like this.

Dear Miss Christine,

You posess such a wonderful enthusiasm for life.

You tackle many projects that hold your interest and exhibit your passions.

Your creativity and sense of empathy are greatly appeciated, and only add

to the classroom as a whole. It is good to see that you posess an ability to

laugh at yourself, and often try to see the positive aspects of chaotic, frustrating

situations. The fact that you attempt to make others see this is commendable.

This will serve you well in life.

However, you must learn to manage your time more effectively, and realize

that a greater sense of responsibility will not only make your life less stressful,

but serve to make your life more fruitful and fulfilling.

(For example: Try being on time for once!)

We are hoping you can be a good role model to the rest of the class.

We are looking forward to seeing you blossom this year!

Sincerely,

Your Teachers
