Well, it fits perfectly. But it's a shame I've already taken 3 other graffiti photos at this point...needed to be more original and outside the box with my ideas...

Established in 1924, Chiricahua National Monument is located in the Chiricahua Mountains near Willcox, Arizona, and contains a significant number of hoodoos, balancing rocks, rock formations, and rich natural habitats. The landscape within the monument was created by a volcanic eruption at Turkey Creek Caldera 27 million years ago, which deposited ash that formed into rhyolitic tuff, which eroded over the eons into the rock formations seen today. The monument was expanded in 1938 to encompass additional portions of the Chiricahua Mountains, and today, contains preserved natural habitats for many species of desert flora and fauna, trails that allow visitors to traverse the rock formations and mountains within the monument, and the historic Faraway Ranch, built in 1887 by Swedish immigrants Neil Erickson and Emma Sophia Peterson at the bottom of Bonita Canyon, located at the entrance to the monument. Chiricahua National Monument today sees approximately 60,000 visitors, and has been the subject of several proposals to re-designate it as a National Park.

Established in 1929, Badlands National Park is located at the boundary between two levels of the Northern Prairie, which has eroded over millennia into buttes and pinnacles, as the sediment and underlying sedimentary rock has been eroded away by the Cheyenne River and White River and their tributaries, creating a rugged, beautiful, and difficult to traverse landscape.

The park was historically the home of the indigenous Lakota and Sioux people, who were forced onto a reservation, which included the modern-day park, in 1868. The park was part of the Oglala Sioux reservation until 1889, when the Second Treaty of Fort Laramie was unilaterally broken by the United States Government and the modern-day park, along with much of the surrounding land, was confiscated.

The park was established as the Badlands National Monument in 1929, and became a National Park in 1978. The park today is jointly administered by the National Park Service and the Oglala Sioux, who were given co-management of part of the park in the late 20th Century.

Though unsuitable for settlement and difficult to traverse, the badlands, named for both of these attributes, is a beautiful geologic formation, full of cliffs and hills that are comprised of beautiful, colorful layers of rocks and sediment, rugged, sharp edges in some places and smooth surfaces in others, and very obvious markings from water erosion, which continues to alter the landscape.

Established in 1895, the Hull–Rust–Mahoning Open Pit Iron Mine in Hibbing, MN is the largest operating open-pit iron mine in the U.S. The pit stretches more than three miles (5 km) long, two miles (3 km) wide, and 535 feet (163 m) deep. The mine, located in the Mesabi Range, supplied as much as one-fourth of all the iron ore mined in the United States during its peak production from World War I through World War II. This prodigious output made Minnesota the nation's largest iron ore producer and the U.S. the world's largest steel manufacturer.

Dore Abbey, Herefordshire, Photograph by James Russiello, August 14, 2010

"The little village of Ewyas Harold, deep in the Herefordshire countryside near the Welsh border, may seem an unusual place to establish a major Cistercian monastery yet the local lord, Robert FitzHarold, was rich and influential, and after an abbey was founded by him in 1147, the place prospered, up until the Dissolution of the Monasteries instigated by Henry VIII in 1537. The abbey then suffered the same fate as many others; most of the subsidiary buildings were demolished and the main church fell into disrepair, though part was restored in the 1630s and henceforth used as a parish church, occupying the transepts, crossing, presbytery and ambulatory of the original, after all of the nave and choir were removed, their foundations now hidden beneath the adjacent graveyard.

"The church - officially named Holy Trinity and St Mary but generally known as Dore Abbey - has a quiet, peaceful, rural setting beside the River Dore within the Golden Valley, in the tiny community of Abby Dore along the B4347.

"Entrance is to the original south transept, beside the crossing and the north transept, and the walls of all these sections are adorned with faded wall paintings, the largest an orange coat of arms from Queen Anne, drawn around 1710. Some others are earlier, from the late 17th century. The church is centred on the presbytery, entered through a carved wood screen from the 1630s, bearing several coats-of-arms. The presbytery is lined by north and south aisles and has a twin-passaged ambulatory on the far side, now partly filled with salvaged fragments of sculpted masonry, including decorative bosses from the nave roof. The ceilings of these passages, and the aisles, are supported by the original vaulting, while the remainder of the church has a high, flat, wooden roof, from the 17th century. The presbytery contains the original altar, salvaged from a local farm during the 1630s. Adjoining the transepts are two small chapels, north east and south east, this latter now known as the Hoskyns chapel, and containing the tomb of John Hoskyns (died 1638), a benefactor. Also of interest are two stone effigies, thought to be memorials to Roger de Clifford (died 1286) and his half-brother Robert of Ewyas (died 1265)."

Established in2022, The Outernet is a digital art/event space in London's The Now Building. It reminds me of a smaller scaled teamLab exhibition, but it is free to the public and contains the world's largest LED screen display. It is located just feet from Tottenham Court Road Station.

Established in 1929, the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation was created by Henry Ford as The Edison Institute, a private educational institution, before opening to the public in 1933, initially being owned and operated by the Ford Motor Company. The museum contains exhibits and artifacts that were collected by Henry Ford starting in 1906, when his wealth began to increase substantially due to the success of the Ford Motor Company, with the institutions continuing to collect artifacts and items to this day. The museum is housed in a large structure, designed by Robert O. Derrick, that is quite similar in structure to a warehouse or factory built during the time of construction. Covering approximately 500,000 square feet (50,000 square meters), the building contains a variety of exhibits, mostly focusing on machinery, furnishings, automobiles, and other industrial goods, as well as historic artifacts that represent culturally significant moments in the history of the United States. The museum today is a major tourist attraction within the Detroit Region, and is one of three significant attractions affiliated with the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, alongside Greenfield Village and the Ford Rouge Complex, all of which are open to tourists and visitors. The museum was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1969, and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1981.

The German Colony is a neighborhood in Jerusalem, established in the second half of the 19th century by members of the German Temple Society. Today the "Moshava", as it is popularly known, is an upscale neighborhood bisected by Emek Refaim Street. Emek Refaim (Valley of Refaim) is mentioned in the Book of Joshua and 2 Samuel. The name is derived from a legendary race of giants who lived in this region in biblical times.

In 1873, after establishing colonies in Haifa and Jaffa, members of the Templer sect from Württemberg, Germany, settled on a large tract of land in the Refaim Valley, southwest of the Old City of Jerusalem. The British Mandatory government deported the German Templers during World War II. As Germans, they were considered enemy citizens, all the more so because they made no effort to disguise their Nazi sympathies.

Established in 1828 and the first of the historic towers standing today, the East Tower Light, was first lit in 1874. It was automated in 1963 and is still an active aid to navigation. The 67-foot tower is made of cast iron over a stone foundadion. The lighthouse is free-standing, but is beside a private residence and the property is privately owned. The best place to view the lighthouse is from Two Lights State Park.
