The reason for the caption is that I got stung by a wasp on my inner forearm ten days ago ( and what a brave wasp it was to do that 😉 ) . I always react badly to insect bites so the redness and irritation spread somewhat alarmingly. It so happened that I was in a meeting last Monday in a hot stuffy room, which made it, and I, even more irritable. One of my co - volunteers nicknamed J**** Hat because of the vast range of hats she wears, suggested I used some Essential Lavender Oil on it seeing as the Antihisan didn’t touch it and conventional medicines such as Piriton put me on Planet Zog. What a relief it’s been.
Tomorrow’s tip will be Zen and the Art of getting around trip hazards – our painter and decorator finished today but my living space is in a sorry state..........................

About a month ago, I started having a rash on my abdomen and figured I was allergic to something I ate, but couldn't figure it out. Three days later, we were on vacation in Florida and I was all better. No more rash! All better? Right?
Wrong! Within 3 days of being back in New Jersey the rash started up again. Some days were worse than others and
using my Essential Oils from Young Living seemed to be helping. Problem is... every time I stop using the oils the rash comes back worse than before.
So, off to the general practitioner for advise. Of course he told me to Stop using all forms of eastern medicine as it was apparently doing me no good. Huh? Anyway, he put me on prescription strength Benadryl 3 times a day for a week. Four days into the Western approach to things, I am just as bad, if not worse than when I went to the doctor on Friday. I'm so doped from the Benadryl, that I have trouble staying awake. I'm struggling to type this now.
Now What? Do I go back to this doctor and have him put me on more drugs? Do I go back on my oils therapy and search for a doctor that is more open to Eastern medicines? Do I see a shrink? Ugh!

Azul Luna is a beer soap made for the MSOE team February challenge of mycology, which is the study of molds and yeasts. My soap, accordingly is made from Blue Moon beer resulting from yeast fermentation of oats and wheat. Like all beer soaps, it has a fluffy, abundant lather. It is topped with a sprinkling of orange peel.
