I'm just about done for the season, so here's a last one for the year. See you all next year my lovelies.
A real misnomer as this plant has nothing to do with Bermuda, neither is it a buttercup!
The plant is native to South Africa and has been introduced elsewhere in the world. It is an invasive species and difficult to eradicate once it takes a hold.

After escaping the eradication of his fellow green martians, J'onn J'onzz came to Earth. He took on the identity of the man who tried to hunt him down - Hank Henshaw, director of the Department of Extranormal Operations.
I've had a lot of problems with J'onn on this show until very, very recently. This last arc of his finally brought his personality around from being a stereotypical government agent to the wise and empathetic pacifist he should be. The costume, though, still infuriates me. Why would the guy who has been living in secret on Earth need a totally non-functional armored black super-suit? Would it not make so much more sense for his true form to be wearing the clothes of his people? They had the perfect justification for the classic harness design, but opted for this one to be "cool" and "edgy" (or more likely, easier to believably render on their special effects budget). It's not that it's a bad design, it just makes no sense in the context of the story.
So, one big advantage of my partner moving in, is that I have access to more outfits. She shares my love of polka dots (she's Polish and her name can be shortened to Dot). Love how this one (along with the top) adds a little class. Wonderful to wear on a hot summer's day.
By 1940, the Amurtiger was practically eradicated. Only 50 animals still lived in the area north of Vladivostok in the former Soviet Union. Thanks to strict protection measures by the Soviet government, the stock increased to about 200 animals by 1982, meanwhile there are more than 500 animals in Russia and an estimated 30 more in China and North Korea. In European zoos about 300 animals. The tiger is still in acute danger of extinction because its bones are on the rise in Chinese medicine. And this despite the prohibition of tiger bone trade decided by the Chinese government in 1993. Unfortunately, illegal trade continues. Turntables are Thailand and Vietnam.

Spontaneously the poppies bloom together with the camomile, it is a very attractive set to observe, the camomile gives off its particular scent.
It is very pleasant to walk along a meadow adorned with these flowers!

We are wild poppies, those that stay on the edge and grow in the most unexpected places.
Those who make no number, who do not go to the neat and tidy gardens, who love weeds and their complicated stories.

Always, since I was a child, I admire poppies along with camomile, of course I like them alone but with camomile flowers ... some of my memories come back: it was once used to collect these flowers and then place them in the sun to dry, then form some full jars and their intense scent ... so then the jar closed and they were ready even in winter to make a good chamomile.
But they are very beautiful fresh flowers of chamomile, resemble daisies, so now my thoughts are also to respect the flowers of chamomile, if they sprout in the garden spontaneously better not eradicate them, also because emanating their scent, something good we can breathe!
The Australian Dingo is our nations apex predator. The Dingo is highly adaptable, intelligent, resourceful and hardy. Recent studies by Yale University have shown it is the most intelligent canid on the planet. Despite unrelenting extermination efforts since the arrival of Europeans, it has managed to survive in some form throughout much of Australia, although the Alpine Dingo found along the Eastern seaboard are critically endangered. Our governments, pushed strongly by farmers groups continue to support the demonstrably unsuccessful and ecologically and economically unsustainable pursuit of dingo eradication. There is strong evidence to show that the eradication of our apex predator has done much to allow the proliferation of introduced predators like foxes and feral cats who are much more dangerous to our native wildlife, this evidence shows strongly that allowing the Dingo to thrive would lead to a more sustainable coexistence model and benefit the biodiversity greatly.
Yet our governments continue to allow and support the baiting, trapping and shooting of these amazing animals.
The Australian Dingo Foundation, and the Dingo Discovery and Research Centre at Toolern Vale support the continued research for this species, as well as ensuring the continuation of pure Dingo species through their breeding program. They are strong advocates for these beautiful animals.

We are proud sponsors of the Australian Dingo Foundation, and would encourage you all to do anything you can to support them, and these amazing animals.
Together we’re building a new identity ecosystem, a globally recognized universal biometric ID blockchain system. It will be a biometric smartchip ID that will be tracked worldwide by AI to solve the 17 sustainable development goals.
The Mark of the Beast is a Certification Mark of authentication (the new global standard), affirming that all who are involved with this new global biometric digital ID blockchain are compliant with the core principles of the 17 Sustainable Development goals, which have been adopted by all the United Nations Member States. No one will be able to buy or sell or do anything in society without this Certification Mark. This Mark will now become mandatory for all. Without it, you will be arrested.
Through the means of a microchip implant we will be able to eradicate human trafficking (we cause the crisis, and then we offer you the solution). Every kind of supposed virtuous cause will be exploited to promote the 666 Beastchip. Climate change…take the smartchip…blah, blah, blah. Refugees…take the smartchip…blah, blah, blah. Human rights…take the smartchip…blah, blah, blah. Fight poverty…take the smartchip…blah, blah, blah. For the sake of equality, inclusiveness, and sustainability…take the smartchip…blah, blah, blah.

It's been over a year since I have last posted on here. Work and everyday life didn't leave too many moments for expression but I am at a good place now.

I sit here, posting this shot, fully aware I'm not quite this exposed at the moment. 4 layers on top, leggings and a thick skirt AND the most warm and comfortable boots eBay can buy. Still like this look though!

So had a lovely meal with a friend in a local restaurant and had a real giggle like we do. We got a few looks, and I think my friend was being eyed up by the lady sat next to us. If he was my guy I might have had something to say
Mind you I got smiled at by a gent on the other table, so all is fair in love and war
Oh how I love these flowers, it would be beautiful gracing the wall of any cottage garden, were it not considered a weed, for Bindweed is considered a notoriously hard weed to eradicate from the herbaceous border. Such a shame, as its cousin the Ipomoea (Morning Glory) is almost as hard to grow.

Josephine Shaw Lowell was a progressive leader in many difficult causes of the 1800's, women's rights, eradication of poverty, education and civil service. She did many great things for the City of New York, and when she died in 1905, it was decided that a monument should be created for her.
A committee was formed and its decision was a memorial fountain.“The handsome Josephine Shaw Lowell memorial fountain to be erected in New York City is being cut at the yard of Milne & Hector.” The magazine reported that ten train cars were required to transport the rough pink granite quarried in Stony Creek, Connecticut. “The bowl of the fountain is 12.6 in diameter and rests on a pedestal which is to be elaborately carved. Around this pedestal is to be a pool of water, outside of which is a granite walk six feet wide. The total wide of the pool and walk being something like forty feet.”

"Acanthus leaves have a classical appearance and were the source of the Corinthian leaf motif developed and used as a decoration in ancient Greek and Roman art and architecture."
Warning: "Can spread aggressively by creeping rootstocks, particularly in loose soils. Can be slow to establish in the garden, but somewhat difficult to eradicate once established since small sections of root left behind can sprout new plants."
