I had just arrived at Piccadilly on this bus, which brought me from Victoria station on the last leg of its journey.

Prominently sited on the north bank of the River Forth in central Scotland, this massive power station was opened in 1972 and for a few years was the largest in Europe. The stack is 600 feet high. For the first thirty years is mined it's own coal from the adjacent Longannet Deep Mine. However the workings mostly under the river were seriously flooded in 2002 and the workings were closed up. In 2004 production resumed using imported coal from many countries. This is moved by rail from the deep harbour at Hunterston on the Clyde Estuary.
Recently the emissions have been screened by the 'low NOx' system which utilises the waste ash, using it for land reclamation, thus there is virtually no harmful gasses in the smoke that emits from the large chimney.

বাংলাদেশ আমরা যখন যততত্র আমাদের চারপাশে কাগজ ছড়িয়ে ছিটিয়ে ফেলে দেই সেখানে আপনার ফেলে দেয়া কাগজ থেকে (রিসাইকেল পেপার) তৈরী হতে পারে অসম্ভব সুন্দর গহনা। আর এ কাজটি সম্ভব করেছেন নাসিমা নিপা এবং তার প্রতিষ্ঠান দীপাবলির গয়নাবাড়ি
অসম্ভব সুন্দর সেই গহনা আর তার কারুকাজ, কাছে থেকে দেখলেও অনেকেই বিশ্বাস করতে পারেননি যে আসলেই কাগজের কিনা। দীপাবলির গয়নাবাড়ি আর নাসিমা নিপার এর বতিক্রমী আয়োজনটি একটি পরিবেশ বান্ধব মহৎ উদ্যগ। গয়নাগুলো কাগজের হওয়ায় এবং মেটাল এর পরিমান কম হবার কারণে এটি খুব হালকা তাই আরামদায়ক এবং স্বাস্থ্যকর বিশেষভাবে যাদের মেটাল এলাৰ্জি আছে তাদের। গহনাগুলো তৈরী হবার সময় ৩ স্তরে সিল করা হয় বলে গহনার পুঁতিগুলো দারুন শক্ত আর এগুলো পানিতেও ভেজে না।
