The runners from the Tour of Tameside liked my photos of them and a few of them were happy for me to come down and photograph them swimming in an aquathlon event at the local swimming baths. This was a tough sport to photograph, it involved fast shutter speeds to capture the action and a high-ISO to combat the badly lit swimming baths. It also involved a bit of luck as the swimmers swam past you had to hope the popped their head up to breathe at the right time for you take a shot, and half of the time they popped up facing the opposite direction to you.
The Cadillac Series 40-62 is a series of cars which was produced by Cadillac from 1940 through 1964. Originally designed to complement the entry level Series 61, it became the Cadillac Series 6200 in 1959, and remained that until it was renamed to Cadillac Calais for the 1965 model year. The Series 62 was also marketed as the Sixty-Two and the Series Sixty-Two. The Series 62 was used to introduce the Cadillac Coupe de Ville and the Cadillac Eldorado which started out as special appearance packages that were later placed into production.

Straight from the camera. We needed a new camera at work and I believe the D5000 gives the most bang for the buck (if you want video and easy scene modes).
Nice shutter sound. Light camera. LCD with the info takes a little getting used to. The included 18-55 VR II is quite nice. Build quality (Made in Thailand like most of the Nikon gear) is good.
