Water, in the dreamer's language, means unconscious.

I invite you to dive into the unconscious of the dreamers,

and let yourself combortably numb inside this unreal atmosphere.

Every saturday I'll be entering into this world and taking one new photography to my new serie "Golden Slumbers". And you can see it here.

Three young bison bulls demonstrate how crazy activity during the rut can be. Here one bull mounts another while that bull is fighting with a rival.

We laughed out loud at this ridiculous display. I kept saying "no way".

Note how close we were to this action...182mm. Fortunately almost all the bison rut shots I made were taken from the rolling rental car blind. To have exited the car most of the time would have been foolish and dangerous. We saw one guy get out of his camper van and was barely out the door before a cow charged him. He quickly re-entered the van and hopefully learned a valuable lesson.

One more post in my bison rut series tomorrow, then I'll move on to some more serene wildlife shots.

this image was made when i was feeling very ill i had a virus so i needed to escape from reality a composite of 3 photos

Grand Canyon National Park

Downriver from Hance Rapids the character of the Grand Canyon at river level changes dramatically as the river enters Granite Gorge. Upriver the rock formations along the river have all been sedimentary. At Granite Gorge the river begins carving into an igneous rock called Vishnu Schist, a very hard rock considered the bedrock of the planet.

Up above the cliff on the right tailings can be seen from one of John Hance's asbestos mines. “Captain” John Hance was one of the first settlers of Grand Canyon’s south rim. Hance had an interesting past before arrival, fighting in the Civil War originally as a Confederate, and later for the Union. Hance mined minerals in the canyon, most notably asbestos and copper. He also built and operated a small hotel on the edge of the canyon, and constructed the Red Canyon and Old Hance Trails from the south rim to the river. During later years the Fred Harvey Company provided Hance with a living space at the Bright Angel Lodge, where he would sit in the common area and tell stories about his exploits in the canyon to eager park visitors.

I was watching in amusement that this kayaker was having a hard time entering the crack underneath this rock while her teammates were waiting inside. It took her a few tries to get in. Surprisingly, I also spotted a bird with her little chick in a cavity of the rock about one O'clock above the kayaker. If you zoom in, you can see them.

The Château de Chenonceau is a French château spanning the River Cher, near the small village of Chenonceaux in the Indre-et-Loire département of the Loire Valley in France. It is one of the best-known châteaux of the Loire valley.

The estate of Chenonceau is first mentioned in writing in the 11th century. The current château was built in 1514–1522 on the foundations of an old mill and was later extended to span the river. The bridge over the river was built (1556-1559) to designs by the French Renaissance architect Philibert de l'Orme, and the gallery on the bridge, built from 1570–1576 to designs by Jean Bullant.

An architectural mixture of late Gothic and early Renaissance, Château de Chenonceau and its gardens are open to the public. Other than the Royal Palace of Versailles, it is the most visited château in France.

The château has been classified as a Monument historique since 1840 by the French Ministry of Culture. Today, Chenonceau is a major tourist attraction and in 2007 received around 800,000 visitors

This isn't a staged reenactment. On many of the former USSR's less modernized lines, rail traffic is still governed by flags at stations and yard limits. In this scene, a switchman raises a yellow flag to indicate 'proceed', as 2-10-0 L-3958 enters the yard at Ostashkov.

To stimulate tourism in this economically depressed part of the country, in fall of 2018 Russian Railways made the decision to operate the regular local passenger train (6697/6698) from Bologoye to Ostashkov with steam power on Saturdays. While the idea behind it is to increase tourism, make no mistake - this a regular passenger train whose primary job is to serve as a form of local transportation. The vast majority of passengers aren't tourists, but little old babushkas just trying to get from village to village with their jars of mushrooms and pickled tomatoes. This is as authentic of an experience as you can get with a steam-hauled passenger train in the 21st century. The train takes three hours to traverse its 70-mile route and travels at speeds of 30-40 mph, making 13 stops in various villages along the way.

This train is entering East Hope, Idaho, which is near Sandpoint. Lake Pend O'Reille is just across the highway, behind us. The Fall colors all along the highway and the Bull River were absolutely stunning. Wild and beautiful country.

Yes! I redeemed myself from that mediocre picture I had posted. I like this a lot more, and hope you do too. I am very pleased to have at least made one entry to the Summer Joust this year! I have always wanted to create a middle eastern build, and I saw the chance when the contest had a category just for that: but in the end I didn't have time to make but one entry, so I had to fit it all in this one! The castle walls, the Arabic city, and the quest, which I wanted to do from Ladyhawke. Hope you like it!
