This blackbird (immature male red winged? Possibly a female?) was moving through this blossoming tree on the banks of Commonwealth Lake. There were many mature males darting around with females a ways off from this bush, and this bird wasn't showing interest in joining the frolicking.
Although the clouds didn’t display on this morning-neither did crowds of people. These quiet moments were enjoyed in Banff National Park among the mountains and calm waters.
The Italian Plums in my parent's garden are finally ripe enought to eat... yum =) Wish they were here to enjoy them with us.

Finally a chance to sit back and enjoy someone else's pose work for a change. An awesome pose by two talented people. :)

How often the best things in life are free! I saw this mum and her two kids enjoying the moment on a rare lovely sunset evening. I have processed it to try and give the shot a timeless feel. The beach could be anywhere but in fact it was taken at Dinas Dinlle Beach on the Llyn Peninsula in N Wales.
Sorry for the delay in commenting but will try and catch up with everyone today
The most important thing is to enjoy your life - to be happy - it's all that matters.

Darkness shrouds your eyes,
Clouds of mist and hatred they are,
Stars are now blotted out of view,
The Moon itself is no-where to be seen,
You’re on your own.
There is no light here,
You took the wrong path,
Your feet scuttled the deserted way,
No grass grow here,
You’re on your own for more time.
Whispers of pain and agony dance in your mind,
No happiness in this realm of death and dust,
You came for a purpose,
You came for advice?
Why?
Why do you seek words from me?
You continue to walk along the path now gone,
You walk along the death tones of this land,
No air can you breathe,
Yet you do not need to,
You’re on your own this time.
A door of wailing screams and windows of blank steel you find,
No handle for it opens to the touch,
The windows are the eyes,
Forever shut as this darkness blinds them,
You’re on your own still from this point.
Whispers of pain and agony dance in your mind,
No happiness in this realm of death and dust,
You came for a purpose,
You came for advice,
Why?
Why do you seek words from me?
You came for a purpose,
You came for advice,
Whispers of pain and agony dance in your mind...
You came for help,
You came for a guardian,
Whispers of pain and agony are all that will help you...
So Enjoy The Silence.
No, not a beer, a rosebud! :)
The surprise Halloween snowfall and cold temps left some unusual beauty all over since most of the leaves were still on the trees. Sorry for so many photos of my short walk at the park on a 25F degree morning.

Just found this in my archives from last year, this advice made me smile and cringe at the same time! The first paragraph has a good deal of common sense….
I had a Singer sewing machine much like this in my teens, it had belonged to my Granny and Mum so it caught my eye…
Seen at Brockhampton Estate last year.
