Reminiscing about last trip to England/Scotland. I readily confess to being an Anglophile. My family is from Cornwall and I've always traveled there. On this trip I was determined to see more.

I was taken with Yorkshire and totally entranced by Scotland.

Eventually given the all clear she headed back to Exeter Riverside this morning, Here she is on a beautiful summer's morning propelling the 3Z51 0445 from Par along the sea wall at Teignmouth heading for Exeter.

I photographed this fine looking beast at RSPB Frampton Marsh {Lincolnshire, UK} during the Summer of 2019.

I think that it is as Ive described, but Im no cattle expert or farmer, so Im open to comments and alternative species name alterations.

Taken around English Bay beach at sunset during a photo walk around Vancouver, BC. Went to Granville Island and ended the day at English Bay. Got some good waves along the shore that day.

My first English cucumber of 2023 is ready to pick today in the greenhouse. The recent hot spell we had in Vancouver had it growing almost an inch a day! This is the English Burpless Hybrid variety, but the Japanese cucumbers (Summer Dance Hybrid) and the Chelsea Prize, which have the most fruit, are not far behind.

The English Yew (Taxus baccata) is a slow-growing, evergreen conifer known for its dense, dark green foliage and versatility in landscaping, used for hedges, topiaries, and screens. All parts of the plant, except the fleshy red aril (berry), are highly poisonous, containing toxic alkaloids that affect the heart, making it a hazard for children and pets. It thrives in well-drained soil and tolerates a wide range of light conditions, from full sun to deep shade, and is famous for its historical use in making longbows and for its medicinal compounds like Taxol.
