Sister to the shot "Punctured..." this explores the relationship between the parts, which Gehry does to perfection.

My urge to publish is stronger than my sense as I wait for a lens, but in doing there is pounding and in pounding there is building; and building something is better than not building at all...

This young mother was extremely keen to engage my attention.

As a result I was given a wonderful close range flight display.

No doubt her young chicks were hiding in the grass nearby as mum distracted me from finding their whereabouts.

Many thanks as always to all those kind enough to comment and fave my pics, or even stop by for a look. Although I am unable to always respond, your feedback is very much appreciated.

B+W F-PRO 46 mm circular-polar filter over tiny neat Panasonic 35-100mm f/4.0-5.6 zoom, aperture fully open at 35mm. This lens fits nicely the GM1's miniature body. The only problem with the GM1 is its LCD screen which is too dark in bright sun / its lack of the viewfinder, which makes it difficult to compose. Developed and edited in Affinity Photo 2.0.4, sharpened in IrfanView 4.62

The first Film Photography Podcast (FPP) meet-up was held in New York City on Saturday, April 16, 2011. Grey skies and wind didn’t stop avid FPPers and FPP founder and host Michael Raso from coming out to meet and get to know each other. Meet-Up organizer Dan Domme along with Michael Calleia and Mat Marrash mapped a walking route from 23rd Steet to Canal that included stops at Lomography Store, Leica Gallery and The Impossible Project. The day ended at Impossible where the enthusiastic group posed for an 8x10 portrait shot on Mat Marrash’s Eastman Commercial B camera.

What is FPP?

The Film Photography Project seeks to inform, engage and inspire amateur and professional photographers working in the traditional film medium. Launched by FPP founder Michael Raso in 2009, FPP provides a forum for photographers from around the globe to share their creative output, challenges and product reviews, while promoting the viability of vintage cameras and film through frequent give-aways and exchange programs. In addition to the Film Photography Podcast Internet Radio Show, the Film Photography Project network of imprints includes the FPP Flickr Page, YouTube Channel, Facebook Group, Twitter Account, newsletter and the Film Photography Project Store.

Acknowledge that most of my fellow bird photographers are not bothered about planes photos, so tried my best to make them look a bit more interesting.

A Gray Wolf (Canis lupus), a female that I believe is the Alpha Female of the Junction Pack in Yellowstone, grabs a mouthful of snow and moisture as she engages in a predatory chase. This image taken in Lamar Valley of Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming.

I enjoy shots looking at the radiant of a meteor shower, makes me feel like I'm on a space ship cruising out into the galaxy. This one's got it all, the Perseid shower, airglow, Milky Way, Pleiades, Andromeda, and more!

This is a stack of about 60 of the shots I took with my Nikon D600 and Rokinon 24mm f1.4 lens on a Sky Watcher Star Adventurer mount. Each shot was 15 seconds at ISO 1600 and f1.4.

Satellite Laser and Radio Ranging System:

One of the 1.3 Gigawatt Pulsed Lasers at Hartebeesthoek Radio Astronomy Observatory (HartRAO), tracking a Satellite as it passes overhead.

About this specific Laser Ranging System:

"The system can range to satellites with an orbital altitude of 25 000 km, perform continuous tracking of navigation signals from GLONASS and Global Positioning System satellites, take measurements of current navigation parameters and receive navigation messages transmitted from the satellites." - SARAO News.

Note: This was shortly after dark and what seems to be a bright star above the laser, is in fact the planet Jupiter.

Just for fun - how powerful is 1.3 Gigawatt?

It is more than Doc Brown needed in Back to the Future!

When viewed through my wide angle lens the bubbles seemed to explode past at warp speed.

I've been meaning to take pictures of Bruno's favourite pastime: he waits for us in the hallway to throw a toy over his head, and he will push off from the wall and catch the toy with his front paws from the air.

He came up with this game by himself. The somersaults are a delight to see and he seems to be really enjoying himself.

The Starfleet Academy Experience at New York's Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum features a re-creation of the Enterprise-D bridge, complete with a captain's chair. The seat might be great for photo opportunities, but those with real ambitions for command might want to take a crack at the Kobayashi Maru exam on one of the eight consoles.

The Kobayashi Maru is a training exercise given to Starfleet Academy graduates to determine their aptitude for command. They're given an impossible choice: A small vessel is in distress in the middle of the Neutral Zone. You can cross into the zone to save the ship but risk an interstellar incident with the Klingons or preserve peace by leaving the ship to its fate. It's meant to be unbeatable: Captain Kirk won, but only by cheating. I couldn't beat it.
