Following recent news of more worker injuries at Imperial Pacific International’s casino construction site, I had officials from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Wage and Hour Division brief me Thursday on their efforts to protect workers and hold repeat violators of safety and labor standards accountable. I particularly want to know why IPI has not paid any of the millions ordered by the consent judgement filed in April 2019 for worker back pay and overtime. I laid out further questions for the agencies to answer in this letter .

As the son of a police chief working a particularly difficult beat in the city of Los Angeles, our Enforcer learned early on a respect for the law, as well as an ability to walk the fine line of legality in the unorthodox pursuit of criminals, cads, and wrong-doers.

As a young cadet following in his father's footsteps, Hotshot quickly gained a reputation for being a bit of a maverick, riding solo through the streets to deliver swift justice to perpetrators (with an odd bribe or two occasionally padding the pockets of his starched blue uniform).

Known for his propensity for demonstrating a wisecracking disregard for some of the more rigid aspects of authority, Hotshot nevertheless keeps his badge and his shoes shined, adn with his dashing good looks, wears a uniform well - perhaps too well, for it can also be remarked that Hotshot is not above engaging in the odd indiscreet dalliance both on and off duty, and one might even suggest that his cruiser has seen plenty of action in more ways than one.

As a Red Suit Enthusiast, Hotshot brings his history of hard-line enforcement to our operations, laying down the law when necessary while maintaining his free-wheeling lifestyle and disregard for antiquated convention. Hotshot's roguish grin is testament to his mischievous nature, while the sharp glint of his aviators confirms that he most certainly means business.

The Virginia Beach Law Enforcement Memorial Service is held each year to honor those officers who made the ultimate sacrifice serving and protecting the citizens of Virginia Beach. This year’s ceremony, normally held in May, was held on Oct 18th due to COVID. With honors presented by Police, Sheriff and Navy personnel, Flowers were placed in a wreath for fallen Police Officers, Sheriff Officers and Navy Master At Arms.
