The Dallas Police Department showing off the cutting edge in Law Enforcement Vehicles.

Solo,Indonesia. 2007. From left to right : Suyadi (older brother of Suyat), Panikem (mother of Suyat) and Suyatno (older brother of Suyat).

Suyat is one of the victims of the enforced disappearance. He was a student activist and was abducted in February 1998.

In 1997 a huge economic crisis hit some Asian countries including Indonesia. In Indonesia this economic crisis then led to a political crisis. Pioneered by the student, the people’s movements then emerged and grew everywhere. They demanded the price decrease, procurement of basic goods, and more over, an end to Suharto’s presidency. The movements became bigger in early 1998. This situation was considered danger by the authority. Through its military bodies, they then took measures to ‘secure’ and ‘control’ the situation, including abducting persons deemed as ‘provocateurs’ of the movements. It was found out that a number of pro-democracy activists suddenly disappeared in early 1998. After a quite some time, some of them then surfaced and the rest remain missing. Later, the surfaced victims testified that they were kidnapped by the apparatus and were detained in a secret military camp or police station. In those detention centers, they were tortured while being interrogated.

These photo series show the portraits of families of those who are still missing: Widji Thukul (Thukul), Bimo Petrus Anugrah (Bimo), Suyat, and Leonardus Gilang Nugroho (Gilang). The families feel an eternal misery because of loosing their loved ones. However, on the other side, they also have a hope to find whereabouts of their loved ones and achieve justice for them; and this hope is never die.

At peace, or too tired to be upset about it anymore? Who knows?

There was a van load of police plus a few large council 'enforcement' people confronting a couple of teenagers skate boarding in the town square. It's rather noisy but it did look like they were exercising and maintaining distance.

Happy retirement to K-9 Kahr, a 9 1/2-year-old German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois who entered retirement after eight years of faithful and loyal service as the BLM law enforcement partner of Law Enforcement Ranger, Ryan Parr.

Ranger Parr and K-9 Kahr, from the El Centro Field Office, completed their initial training at Shallow Creek Kennels in Pennsylvania in 2013. K-9 Kahr was certified in patrol, narcotics detection, and handler protection and was amazing at all of it while assigned to the Las Vegas, NV; Prineville, OR and El Centro, CA Field Offices.

K-9 Kahr was well known and respected both inside and outside the of the BLM. He and Ranger Parr worked closely with the Central Oregon SWAT Team and many other local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. During his career, K-9 Kahr played a vital role in multiple law enforcement cases and contributed to seizing hundreds of kilograms of illegal narcotics from criminal organizations along the international border.

Today, K-9 Kahr faces the challenge of adjusting to a life of leisure as a member of the Parr family. Ranger Parr said K-9 Kahr will enjoy free reign of the backyard, relax in the warm weather, and may someday realize he can just be a dog.

The BLM thanks K-9 Kahr for all of his years of service, finds, and protection. And a special thanks to Supervisory Ranger Parr for all those years as Kahr's handler as well as adopting and providing him with his new retired life. Best wishes to them both!

557th Military Police Company Soldiers gave the Humphreys community a glimpse inside their world on Aug. 15 at Independence Park here. The MPs set up static displays that showed off their weaponry and vehicles, the K-9 team demonstrated how they apprehend fleeing suspects and the 94th MP Special Reaction Team showed how they search and seize a vehicle and suspects. There was also plenty of good food to eat and a dunker booth. The following agencies also set up tents with informational displays: Special Response Team, MP Law Enforcement, MP Tactical, MP Investigations, Korean Augmentation to the U.S. Army History, Army Community Service, the Army Substance Abuse Program. The United Services Organization also set up a tent and display. U.S. Army photos by Bob McElroy

My entry to Round 4 of the 2014 Bio-Cup, against Hahli141 and his great entry, the Manipulator.

Sgt. Jason Stormer (Preston's younger brother) has just joined the Hero Factory task force, and has been assigned a powerful transforming Helicopter robot, the Helix Enforcer!

Features gear-operated spinning rotor unit, Midak sky blasters on either side, and 2 powerful machine guns, this swift helicopter is capable of rendering even the most forceful army units helpless. For terrestrial combat, this unit transforms into a walker mech with a rotating drill laser and a rotator tri-blade saw!

Creator's comments:

this particular entry was a lotta fun to make, but was the culmination of many unfruitful mocing days, where I slowly progressed on the main body. The rest pretty much came together earlier today, as I work best under the pressure of the deadline. Granted, I'm not fully satisfied with the back (rather annoyed by it in fact), but my supply of white parts was running dreadfully short. I need more white panels, dammit!

Anywho, this was really fun to make, and I like what I've been able to hatch out for this round. Could have been better most definitely. If only I had more parts :/

Best of luck to my opponent Hahli141, who has created a wonderful mech/vic viper combo. Signing off :)

Behind an easily forgettable chinese restaurant in Holoworld, old-London; a group of gangsters finally manage to put their hands on a suitcase that would make them leave this metallic hellscape.

But the Enforcers are a force with money, firepower and means to stop this from happening. By the morning, these thugs will be nothing but numbers.

I've always had a deep respect for the law enforcement officials of this great nation and beyond. I almost wanted to break a few laws to see if she would handcuff me. Also in the building was a nice little firewoman. Gotta love public servants.
