There was wind, snow, sleet, and rain all within the space of a few hours, but it did not dampen the spirits of the attendees.

Daily Shoot - Happy, sad, frazzled, or joyous? Make an abstract or literal photo that expresses how you feel today.
Creatively energized...that's how I feel today. I finished hanging my photo display in my husband's office, ( see today's 365 pic for a sampling), and my photos have been accepted to two upcoming juried art shows in the area. I tried to use the tulip to show how I feel - energized from within, yet enfolded in the support and encouragement of family and friends. It's a wonderful feeling ;-)
It has been five months since I last took a photo trip. This time, I traveled 200 miles North of Ho Chi Minh City to reach Co Thach, a small seaside village in Tuy Phong, Binh Thuan Province, Vietnam.
This area is known for having many interesting rock formations, hence "Co Thach" means "ancient rocks" in Vietnamese. Most unique about many of the beaches there is the gravel stones, covering in thick layers along the beaches.
These stones' shapes and sizes are like the basalt massage stones commonly used in spas. Behind the stones and the orange, white and black color rocks is the beautiful blue sea, which serves as an excellent background for most of my photographs here.
All of these photos were shot from one hour before sunrise to about one hour after. I had a hard time to sort out lines and forms in a bunch of rocks to come up with these compositions. A circular polarizer and a graduate ND filter were used to enhance and balance these photos' exposure.
Hayden Planetarium. New York City. Museum of Natural History. Always cool lit up at night.
A little more dynamic on this nite due to the reflections from a brightly lit 81st street. They were inflating the balloons for Macy's Thanksgivingday Parade. If you look carefully, you'll see that the middle post bisects the ears of the Energizer Bunny balloon.

With the first storms of the season rolling through Brisbane today I managed to capture a few nice strikes, this one was taken with a Tamron 28-75mm 2.8 lens, 9 sec exposure @ f. 9.
It was one of the last nights in lake Abraham area and after scouting for a good spot, those clouds slowy moved in and I really liked their texture and energy type of shapes, so I looked for a nice foreground that would match their lines.
This is a focus blend to keep foreground and mountains all sharp

My entry for BrickinNick's Battle of the Bricks contest last Friday night. Was feeling an alien with the green parts and he kind of turned into an energizer alien.
I lost to Daniel Church's awesome alien crab.

Tried something I had never tried before. Using a photoshop action to transform an image (original can be found at www.flickr.com/gp/77853539@N06/m39m3D) into something fantasy looking.
