With just a single remaining Crossing Gate post remaining of this level crossing. This is the view looking North towards the old Wisbech Good Yard. There is a scrap yard here now who would love to see a railway back again. wisbechrail.org.uk/learn-more/
Although it looks like a giant tumbleweed this shrubbery is actually growing in the middle of this otherwise relatively clear but unused siding. The siding is on the remains of the historic KD line just north of Riverside Blvd in Loves Park IL. This siding has a switch at both ends and would make a great run around track for servicing the primary customer which is at the dead end of the line just ahead. Although the ties look pretty bad the siding still looks like it could be serviceable with just a little work. The customer at the end of the line is Rock Valley Oil & Chemical which is serviced about once a week with 1 or more tank cars.
Finsbury Circus 22/03/10. Contractors for Crossrail took over 3/4 of the site on March 1st. The former Bowling Green area will be used as a construction worksite for the development of Liverpool Street Crossrail. Works are expected to remain in place for seven years and following the completion of Crossrail, the site is to be "restored" to its former state. Posts set in concrete are being put in place as shown here.
Crossrail- 99-109 Moorgate Demolition, Scaffolding and wrap is 17.-31 Moorfields due for demolition in Summer 2011. The right hand portion of Moorfields is staying.

Pavilion - Finsbury Circus June 2009. According to the Crossrail Plans this Pavilion will be demolished as part of Finsbury Circus will be used as a worksite for the construction of the Eastern Ticket Hall for Liverpool Street Crossrail.

This was the end of line. The turn round shunt area was deceiving (right side) but the Manor managed without a problem
There is no way the stationary coach was shunted into where is stands. That set and interesting question?

Typically the late flowering bulbs this year will mostly be behind the fence!
