7DWF : Crazy Tuesday Theme: Armageddon

This is literally at the end of my street.

Abandoned funeral home find.

Bright and beautiful end to the day at Turtle beach. With the absence of sea turtles for the season the algae has taken over the beach.

The end of another day has come and gone with setting sun, as we look toward the Pacific Ocean just after sunset on the beach in Huntington Beach, California.

This brings up significant questions. Such as, "Are we fucking nuts?" Are we doomed as a species? Of course the answer is a resounding yes. First off, who cares if the landscaping ends? Could we not observe that without a sign to tell us? We spend millions of dollars for signs that tell us the obvious and conditions which should be obvious to anyone who is driving with their eyes open.

It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end. Ursula K. LeGuin

This bighorn sheep ram has done some brooming to the end of his horns to help him see better.

Sums up my general mood over the last 24hrs

I’ll spare you the graphic details as you may be in the middle of breakfast, suffice it to say my gout has gone only to be replaced by its attendant partner in geriatric crime, Farmer Giles.

To take my mind off the current colonic catastrophe I have resurrected a recent pic and fiddled with it in Luminar 4

and All lit up.

I was in the garden yesterday and I seen a Butterfly which I got excited about. Debated whether to rush in and get my camera as I knew by the time I got back it would probably have flown off. I decided to rush in and get the camera because if it had flown away I could maybe try my hand at taking some more pictures of Bees as there seemed to be plenty of these flying about and I might be more lucky this time than previous times...lol. I was surprised when I got back out that the butterfly was still there, albeit way above my head so had to stretch my arms above my head to snap it. Took quite a lot before it flew off. It was only when I uploaded the pictures to the laptop that I seen that it's wee wings were disintegrating. I did read somewhere that Butterflies don't live very long (days I think) so it looks like this poor butterfly was at the end of it's day...very sad but I suppose that is nature...at least I have captured it and it will be remembered for it's short life here on this earth.
