This year in August, thousands of Buddhists gathered at the Europe Center near Immenstadt for the annual International Diamond Way Buddhism Summer Course, opened by Lama Ole Nydahl on the second of August.
This year’s two-week course included empowerments into Diamond Mind and the second Karmapa given by Lama Jigmé Rinpoché, empowerments into Guru Rinpoche and Amitayus given by Lopon Dorji Rinchin Rinpoche from Bhutan, who taught at the Europe Center for the first time, and the Mahamudra teachings of the third Karmapa, Tilopa and Lama Shang, given by Lama Ole Nydahl.

Designed by the artist Stephen Broadbent, sponsored by Alstom Power (now Siemens), and completed in 2002, the sculpture spans the River Witham in Lincoln's City Square. It takes the form of two aluminium-and-steel human figures reaching to each other across the water. The design is intended to echo the shape of turbine blades, in recognition of Lincoln's industrial heritage.

Oesterreichs Energie Trendforum: Empowering Austria
Die Stromstrategie – wie können wir die 2030-Ziele erreichen?
Am 31. März diskutierten heimische Energiepolitiker im Zuge des ersten Oesterreichs Energie Trendforums 2016 vor über 170 Branchenvertretern die Erreichung der Energie- und Klimaziele.
Strom spielt eine wesentliche Rolle bei der Erreichung der Weltklimaziele. Oesterreichs Energie hat daher eine Stromstrategie für Österreich entwickelt, die im Kern mehr Strom im Energiesystem, mehr Erneuerbare und mehr Flexibilität im Stromsystem sowie mehr Partizipation aller Marktteilnehmer am Stromsystem fordert.
Beim Trendforum diskutierten Politiker der im Nationalrat vertretenen Parteien die Stromstrategie. Am Podium vertreten waren:

KHOST, 17 December 2015 - The UNAMA Field office Gardez facilitated women empowerment seminar- If I did, you can do it too, held on Monday in Khost province that was attended by around 100 participants. They include women rights activists, university and school teachers and students, members of the women councils, government officials, representatives of the civil society organizations and correspondents of the local media institutions.

Ambassadeurs van het ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken zijn ieder uur van de dag ergens in de wereld actief voor Nederlanders en Nederland, laten hun stem horen en oefenen invloed uit op internationaal niveau. Zij houden zich bezig met thema’s als veiligheid, duurzaamheid, economische groeikansen en diversiteit & inclusiviteit.
Met dit WOMEN EMPOWERMENT EVENT in het Amsterdamse Pulitzer Hotel slaan we de brug tussen twee werelden; die van vrouwelijke ambassadeurs en die van vrouwen met invloed in de maatschappij en media. We bespreken relevante maatschappelijke thema’s op internationaal niveau met bijbehorende stellingen. Er zijn drie hoofdthema’s en twee sprekers per thema.
Jouw tafelgenoten ondernemen, schrijven, acteren of regisseren en bereiken een publiek dat zij in beweging kunnen brengen. Het zijn vrouwen met een stem die gehoord wordt en waarmee ze effect kunnen bereiken in de media en in hun eigen netwerk. Door onze krachten te bundelen kunnen wij een voorbeeldfunctie innemen en invloed uitoefenen op de nieuwe generatie vrouwen op internationaal niveau.
