Recently, I tried to take some pictures of daisies, but in the morning most of them are closed. This one, however, has already opened up, where the remaining dew created a nice bokeh. Again, I've used my Helios 44-2 since it is sharper than my Meyer-Optik Görlitz Primotar and it produces a softer bokeh which does not look so "nervous". Hope you like it!
also from exactly a year ago today -- poor little birch tree just barely getting free of the heavy snow!

After I made a few rather unintersting sunset shots from a mountain pass I drove down to the starting point of my day hike where I wanted to walk to a remote waterfall (and made more uninteresting shots). On my way down, the valley was covered in clouds. I loved spending 1h shooting the forest from above while the clouds came and went amid the trees. To me this one had something of a Japanese etching. I was playing around with extension tubes today. Its a close up of a geranium. The point of focus is only tiny but I love the colours
A landscape version of the same scene as opposed to ethe previously posted portrait shot. I cannot really figure which I like best... Ariege - French Pyrenees
Le scure sagome dei colli Euganei si elevano sopra allo strato di nebbia. Un fenomeno abbastanza frequente, dalle nostre parti, ma certamente sempre ricco di fascino, specialmente all'alba o al tramonto.

Then from my heart will young petals diverge,
As rays of the sun from their focus;
I from the darkness of earth shall emerge,
A happy and beautiful Crocus! H.F. Gold
... from the heavy mist we call haar. The beach at Cullen, and neither the sea nor the sand was visible.
My camera struggled and failed to find a point of focus, until this lone beach-walker began to emerge! A few seconds later and she too vanished in the blanket of haar!
I've used my sliding skills to try to give some definition and colour to the figure and the few reflections and the sliver of sand!

... from the morning mist!
The first signs of Spring buds appearing in the garden .... as the sun tries to break through the morning mist.
I worked 3 images together with some textures and added some colour sliding too.

Moments from sunset a swimmer returns from Lake Ainsworth and its soft, some say magical, tea tree infused waters. Lennox Head, Australia.
Good morning all!
There's probably nothing more closely associated with the Chobe river in Botswana than elephants. I was very fortunate to get to spend time with a good number of them while in the region this summer.
This healthy looking youngster was spotted swimming across the river and photographed as it was emerging on the other side. What an incredible sight to take in and photograph.
