On April 9, 1994, my son & I took the Path Tubes Train under the Hudson River to New York City & walked to the Jacob Javits Convention Center to see the New York Auto Show This Photo shows my son sitting on a New York City Police Motor Cycle, which was on display at the show. The Convention Center is located in "Hells Kitchen" on Eleventh Ave. between 34th St. and 40th St. on the West Side of Manhattan,
I took these photos with my Minolta Maxxim 5000 35 mm SLR Film Camera with Slide Film and I scanned the slide to generate this Electronic Image. I also optimized this photo With Photomatix Essentials™.
Disclaimer: Since I took this photo while I was still learning Photography, some of my original slides are of poor quality in both Exposure and Sharpness, which I could only partially correct with Adobe Photoshop™ and Photmatix™. Unfortunately, this a very Busy (aka: Cluttered) Photo, which is common for an Auto Show.
The train stopped in the tunnel between stations and obviously the power supply was switched off as all except the battery powered emergency lighting went off for a while.
An experience which can be somewhat disconcerting!

Photo by Bill Dever, Hot Springs, Arkansas, Commercial Police Photographer, Hot Springs, Arknsas - The ambulance drivers for Gross Mortuary referred to this yellow Superior van ambulance as the "bread truck" and they much preferred to run calls in one of the firm's Cadillac smooth-riding, hease-ambulance combinations.
Instead of a squad bench, the van ambulance (officially called Car 6) carried two full wheeled stretchers side by side. When there was an accident call, they grabbed the van -- when it was a sick call, they took one of the combinations. This ambulance served Gross Mortuary until April 1973 when both Hot Springs funeral homes terminated ambulance service. A city/county service took over, and Red Hughes, shown above, became assistant manager. The van was sold to A1 Ambulance Service in Little Rock where it served until it was wrecked.
