Skiing and hiking fun between Upper Austria and Salzburg
Embedded between the breathtaking mountain panorama of Dachstein Glacier, Gosaukamm and the Tennengebirge is the Dachstein West ski and hiking region.
Our mountain railways in Gosau, Russbach and Annaberg transport you to the ski and hiking region Dachstein West. The region offers numerous winter and summer activities - from skiing, ski touring and snowshoeing in winter to climbing, hiking and family adventures in Bruno's mountains in summer.
Enjoy an idyllic, authentic holiday in Dachstein West in the eight places of the region, from Abtenau to Gosau - of course in the Salzkammergut.

Saw this pine cone embedded into the cracked dry mud the other day. Thought it was a cool abstract. It 's so hot outside, I haven't done much photography lately.

Bombardier Transportation/Vossloh Kiepe M5000 Metrolink 2-car tram Set 3093 on a Rochdale to Altrincham service enters the present-day Oldham Mumps "station". The unit has just taken the sharp curve off the line to Rochdale to the left - the original Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway heavy rail Oldham Loop from Manchester Victoria to Rochdale.
This is the final tramway configuration through Oldham town centre and in January 2014 replaced the interim route along the old LYR trackbed from Mumps to Werneth stations which ran off to the right. The tram tracks of this section can still be seen embedded in the tarmac of the A62 Oldham Way.
Until the tramway opened the Oldham Loop line ran across this view on a girder bridge & viaduct. I vividly remember seeing Black 5 45330 crossing it in May 1968.
