London, United Kingdom - September 16, 2025: Shadow of a jogger on the National Covid Memorial Wall on the Albert Embankmemt, London. Created in 2021, the National Covid Memorial Wall is a visual representation of the UK's catastrophic loss to Covid-19. There are more than 240,000 individually hand-painted red hearts, each representing a person who died in the UK with Covid-19. The Wall runs alongside the River Thames, directly opposite the Houses of Parliament.

Almost the last one of the set, this was taken inside Embankment tube station. This tunnel seemed to just go on and on forever, it looks much flatter in the photo. Again, I have had to flip part of the right hand side as my fisheye seems to be really soft on the left hand side, although again, the original is pretty much the same as this one. Very odd as it was not soft like that before? I think I am going to need to do some tests, although it is within warranty so not too worried. If anyone has experienced this or has an idea why, please let me know.

One from the archives I never got round to posting at the time.

The river ouse flow's through the town making nice walks and lovely flower beds this makes the embankment a joy to wander.

Later burned down to commemorate the Great Fire of London in 1666 😮

The artist behind the 120ft giant replica is David Best probably best known for his work at the 'Burning Man' festival.

The burning took place on 1-4 September 2016 and was a commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the Great Fire of London.

Have been flicking through a couple of old landscape photography tutorial books, one from the late 1970's and another from the early 80's. Great to see the way the fashion of photography has changed and like many other fashions has gone around in circles, picking-up old styles and recycling them, which was my intention with the capture and processing of this image. I shot this out on my morning walk and used My Helios 135mm f2.8 to capture the Oak trees growing along the embankment of the disused railway line that used to run from Broadstone to Blandford. I had initially seen two deer grazing in the misty light at the end of the trees but as it was still 15 minutes before sunrise so was too dark to set a faster shutter speed and as I was shooting handheld it was just not possible. But am happy with the results.
