This cartoon explains that because of the technology available, people find it hard to get away from their cell phones. Whether it be games, email, facebook, or other interesting applications, people often find themselves close by or on their cell phones. It would not be hard to find a couple, family or friends who exchanged a text message while sitting across from each other at dinner.
I was stunned to see Tuscaloosa pictures all over the place here but no Birmingham shots. This is after all a Birmingham News outlet. Tuscaloosa is not the only town affected by this horrible series of events. It took me nearly 2 hours to find these pictures and none of them were on a Birmingham News outlet site. Not one. Well, here they are. Please post them so folks will see that we got slammed too.

In the West it is the former, here in Superfrogland, it is the latter,
regardless it is Guiness floating on a cider, like Strongbow. Buckett it
with a--very quickly devoured--veggie burger. I had a Caesar with fish n
chips at McKibbin's Irish Pub on boulevard St.-Laurent.
Buckett came home yesterday and I missed him terrible. So as punishment I
subjected him to a departmental book launch. I bought Dr. Foltz' new book.

Got up at six yesterday for a 2.25-hour run. Never quite managed to get a nap yesterday.
What with the hot weather, I had a lot of trouble falling asleep--probably dropped off after 1 AM.
Got up at 5 today. On a plane now.
If I split tens tonight, you'll know why...
